Tropical Christmas

Hi, crafty friends! Hope you’re having a great week! It’s TaeEun here today with a holiday card in tropical color scheme! I’ve never been to Australia or other countries in the southern hemisphere. So it’s hard to imagine how it would be over there at Christmas in the middle of Summer 🙂 ! I thought it would be fun to make a tropical holiday card !

First I stamped the Poinsettia Bouquet on a A2 sized watercolor paper panel. I stamped a small part of the large image four times on each corner of the panel to create a floral border. I stamped it in Soft Cream to do no line coloring.

I watercolored the image in bright colors and left the background white. I added a bit of shade to the image using Polychromos colored pencils. I then cut the panel with the largest die from the Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested die set and adhered it flat on a white cardbase.

I cut the Merry Christmas Sentiment from a golden cardstock which I made by adhering the Adhesive Gold Foil paper on white cardstock and foam mounted it on the card. I finished off the card with a few Medallion Gold sequins.

That’s it from me ! Hope you’ve got some inspiration from my card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving holiday!

I was wondering if you might celebrate Thanksgiving?! thanks for the wishes, and I’m sending them right back to you, my friend!
Since Poinsettias are really a tropical flower, I find them very comfortable on your Tropical Christmas card, TaeEun! But I do want to know if those black stamens were stamped, or added with your most capable hand?
Happy Thanksgiving – I’m very thankful to see your gorgeous creations!
