Wishful-Wildflowers-2

Happy Thursday everyone!! Brenda here with you today to share two ways to use the fabulous Wishful Wildflowers set and Coordinating Dies from the Spring Release!!

For the first card, I stamped the single flowers and leaf images from the Wishful Wildflowers set with clear embossing ink and heat embossed using the beautiful Rose Gold Embossing Powder onto Bristol cardstock. I colored those images with Zig Clean Color Markers and a water brush. The next step was to cut the images with the Wishful Wildflower Coordinating Dies. Two Double Stitched Rectangle Dies (Large) were used to create a frame. I adhered a piece of acetate to the frame and placed some foam adhesive on the back. Several Couture Mixes (Belle’s Dress, Pink Diamond, Raspberry Sparkle & Cotton Candy Puff) were used create a mixture that would match the colors in the flowers perfectly. I then carefully placed the sequin mix in the center of a watercolored panel and placed the die-cut frame over them. I adhered the die-cut flowers onto two corners of the frame. The Hello Word Die was used to die cut the sentiment and I used several layers of the Rose Gold Embossing Powder to emboss the die-cut and placed it in the center of the frame. As a finishing touch, I used Morning Dew Nuvo Drops to create little water droplets on the flowers.

For the second card, I again stamped the single flowers from the Wishful Wildflowers set, but this time with Caviar Ink, since I chose to color these with Copic markers in vibrant colors. I die-cut all the images again with the Wishful Wildflower Coordinating Dies. I chose a polka dot embossed paper for the background, matted that with white cardstock and placed onto a black background. I arranged the die-cut images onto the background, adhering the bottom of the image flat, but using dimensional adhesive toward the top of the flower to give the bouquet a lot of dimension. I love this sentiment from the Dearest Peony set, which was stamped with clear embossing ink and  heat embossed with white embossing powder onto a strip of black cardstock. It was matted with a thin strip of white and placed near the bottom of the card. I added a few Glass Slippers Round Confetti Mix to add a little sparkle. Seriously, I have to force myself not to use these on every card…wink;)!!! I also used a white gel pen to create a little dimension in the center of each flower.
