Hello, it’s Rubeena here today with a card for you. I hope you’ve been enjoying The Ton 2016 Anniversary Release and all the fabulous inspiration from our Design Team and special guests. You still have time to enter the giveaways for the Blog Hop (commenting ends Wednesday night at 11:59 pm EST).
The Fresh Cut Roses stamp set is one of my favorites from the new release. Since watercoloring is all the rave, I wanted to try a bit of stamping plus some watercoloring. I did not know how my card would end up, but I think it turned out great. It’s SO easy to create that it would be perfect for mass production.
I started with watercolor cardstock cut down to A2 size. I stamped the first layer of some flowers in Ballet Slippers and the second layer in Hollywood Star. I stamped the leaves with the Minted Collection. Once I was happy with the stamping, I pulled out two Distress Inks that were close in colors and used them to add some watercolors around the roses and leaves.
When everything dried, I stamped the sentiment from Timeless Icons in Noir. I glued the cardstock to my cardbase and added some sequins and twine to finish it off. I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Thanks for visiting!
What an amazingly gorgeous card Ruby! The background on this card is amazing!
