Morning Glory & Orchids

Hi everyone. Vera here today to share a couple cards with you. I am having so much fun playing the new sets.

First up, is this card I made using Morning Glory Garden Cling Background.

I simply stamped the whole background in pink and then added detail to the images. On the solid image I used Copic marker to add the details and on the outlined images I used chalks to fill them with soft coloring.

The sentiment is from Thanks A Bunch set, which I stamped using Noir ink pad. Let me just say, this ink pad is true black. The blackest ink pad I have tried so far. Since, I am all into sequins lately, I finished the card by adding some Sittin’ Pretty Pink sequins and shimmering gold strips.

Next is this CAS card using Fresh Cut Orchids.

Isn’t the layering on this set so pretty?! I just love how all the layering make it looks so real. Growing up, my mom always have variety of orchids, so needless to say, orchids have a special place in my heart as it reminds me of my childhood home. I’ll definitely need to play more with this set and make a card just for my mom. Do  you have certain flowers that reminds you of home?

Well, I hope you enjoyed today’s cards. Thank you all so much for swinging by here.

Both of your cards are simply lovely. The orchids remind me of my grandma. She loved them and purple was one of her favorites.
Thank you for bringing such a beautiful memory to mind today.
    God bless
