Happy Birthday

With all the gorgeous beads and sequins The Ton carries, it’s no surprise that I make so many shaker cards. I combined my two favorite things in this card: shaker and watercoloring.

I started with 4×5.25 watercolor cardstock for the heat embossed florals and leaves from Simple Florals. I used Peerless watercolors to color the whole piece and added shading with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. Then I added some drops of water, white pigment ink, and shimmer spray. The piece was taped down on a white cardbase and then I prepared the top of the shaker. I cut out a white frame and attached clear film and some foam tape. I filled the center with the following beads: Pearl Satin, Clear Fuchsia, Bubblegum Matte, and Deep Emerald. Then I closed it off and added the sentiment from It’s Cray Cray (heat embossed in pink). It has an almost vintage look, right?!

Thank you for taking time to leave a thoughtful comment!! I didn’t even realize crafters used sewing machines, trims, and beads/sequins for cards until last year! 😉
