Hi, Jessica here with a card I created using the Round Diamonds Stamp Set. I based the color scheme off of the gorgeous colors in the Gala Invitation Couture Sequin Mix!
I love the shades of coral along with the sparkly clear peachy color and the metallic gold! Here’s what I came up with!
I started of by stamping the diamond shapes and the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat-embossing it with Hero Arts white embossing powder on Tim Holtz watercolor paper. Then I mixed Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon distress ink on a craft sheet to create a peachy color. If you’re trying to recreate the color it’s approximately two smushes of ripe persimmon and one smush of picked raspberry…ha, I know, very technical. I wet the paper thoroughly and then painted on the distress ink! I let it dry on its own so the edges would be softer. Once it was dry I went a little crazy… 😉
I started off by dripping water onto paper and then blotting it to create the lighter dots. I also spritzed and dripped some Hero Arts gold spray onto the paper concentrating the larger spots in the bottom right of the card. I spritzed on a little Tsukineko Shimmer spray; then I decided I wanted a little more color so I flicked on a little distress ink. For this color it was more of an even mix of the picked raspberry and ripe persimmon. I also wanted a little more gold…so I stamped the diamond outlines with versamark and heat-embossed them with Ranger Enchanted Gold embossing powder. It’s a paler gold with a little bit of sparkle and was just what I was looking for! Next, I glued on a sprinkling of Gala Invitation sequins!
To finish the card I glued strips of gold glitter paper to the sides of a top-folding A2 card base made from Neenah Solar White cardstock. Then I trimmed half an inch off the long sides of the watercolor piece and adhered it to the card front with foam mounting tape for a little more dimension.
I’m really pleased with the way it turned out and I hope you like it, too! I love the way the white pops on the peach background and I love the sparkle from the sequins. Thanks so much for visiting!

Ha ha yes, I thought that was a very scientific way to approach it! 😉
