Bears & Ice Cream Party

Hi there creative peeps! Vera here today to start the week at The Ton.

Well, I finally take a break from playing with the flower stamps and decided to give some love to my critter stamps. It’s about time, right? Here’s my cool bears card.

It’s been so hot here this weekend, that ice cream sure sounds yummy and I couldn’t resist to use them for the background. I stamped and heat embossed Ice Cream Party Cling Background on a watercolor cardstock and then color it with Kuretake Clean  Color Real Brush.

Once I adhere the panel to the card base, I stamped the bear three times and color them with Copic (don’t forget that the beauty of the Honey Bears set is it allows you to change the bear’s expression. This one here is one of my favorite to use).

I was thinking of Care Bears when I started to color the bears, but instead of making the bear in various color, I decided to just color the heart in various color). Finish with sentiment from Basic Labels stamped in Orchid Crush and Fairy Pink Sparkling Clear sequins.

These bears just look so cuddly in my opinion. Hah!

A Bear-y Good London Wall

Hello Folks! It’s LauraJane:)

Today I have a card that I call my Bear-y Good “London Wall”….a wall of various frames and picture snapshots for gazing upon. My youngest daughter is loveingly called Emma Bear and she just had a Birthday:) This was for her.

  • I started out by aligning several of the tiny frames from Vintage Frames in my mini MISTI so they would fit just inside an A2 piece of CS.
  • Inked them in the scrumptious Spiced Chai  and re-inked the more ornate frames with just a hint of  Aspen Cocoa . This gave a lovely detail of the tiny carvings on the frames.
  • I then grabbed the Honey Bears stamp set and created the inside “picture”  for each frame, being careful to mask off the frame to keep the snapshot on the inside:)
  • Each image was first inked in various colors from Couture Color – Cocoa Collection and colored in with my Zig Clean Color Brush markers, i.e. Ziggys.
  • the HAPPY BIRTHDAY was stamped in Caviar  and embellished with a few flowers from Red Carpet Couture Mix
  • I trimmed the panel down so a hint of a border could be seen around it. The border was colored with the ziggys to reflect the blue sky in each frame.

Let’s Catch Up

Hello! It’s LauraJane and this is my first post for The Ton:) I’m excited to be here!

For today I have a card featuring my favorite Honey Bear and some delightful iced cream from the Sundae Bar.

I started out playing with the scrumptious Lemon Drop Dye ink and Minor Stripes BG  stamp. Yellow doesn’t get yummier than this ink! (I’m smitten with the vibrant colors obtained with all the Couture Color inks. Ha! I actually moved ALLLLL my other brands to the basement for resale, yep! I love them that much:))

I did add some “Chocolate chips” Light Onyx and “Marshmallows” Hampton White  to the ice-cream using the sprinkle images from Sundae Bar.
