Shades of Purple

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of purple cards featuring some of the new products from our Spring Release

The first card is featuring the Palm Layering stencil set and the Gingham Plaid Layering coverplate die set. The Palm Layering Stencil is a larger version of the Happy Palm image. They look both amazing in their four layers. One of my favorites from this release!

I shared a card made using the Happy Palm stamp set on the Release Blog Hop. I used the same colors to stencil the Palm for today’s card.  For the pink part I used Ballet SlippersHollywood StarCosmopolitan pink and Pink Derby and the purple part was stenciled in Soft AmethystIris BloomsGrape Crush and Violet Fringe. I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

For a clean background first I dry embossed a white panel using the second layer of the Gingham Plaid Layering coverplate die set. I then cut the third payer from silver glitter paper. I adhered the dry embossed panel on a white cardbase and foam mounted the silver glitter panel. Next I added the Palm image on it. The sentiment was stamped using Easy Expressions: Thanks set. The scripty part was stamped in Grape Crush and the rest in Noir. To finish off I scattered some Glass Slippers sequins.

For the second card I no line colored the Gladiola Cheer stamp image.

I stamped the image in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake and colored it using Karin brush markers. After the image was completely colored I added a bit of blue and yellow green around the flowers. Next I ink blended two diagonal corners of the panel in Grape Crush and splattered white opaque ink on the whole panel.

I cut a rectangle frame using the Rectangle A2 Nested die set. I cut it two times from some heavyweight white cardstock, adhered them together and added it to the panel. To tuck the frame under the flower I cut the outline of the largest bloom with a Kraft knife. The sentiment is from Easy Expressions Birthday set. The scripty part was stamped in Azurite and Grape Crush and the rest in Noir. I added a few Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots and the card was done.

Thank you so much for looking! Hope you liked my purple creations 🙂 !

Have a crafty day!

These are absolutely gorgeous! Your coloring is spectacular on those flowers and the stenciling looks incredible. Those palms are my favorite of the release also.
