Blended Peonies

Hello and Happy Friday! It’s TaeEun here today! My card for today features one of the four peony images from the Blended Peonies layering stencil set. I chose a bright color scheme to stencil the peonies – pink & violet blue and arranged the flowers on a white background!

To start I stenciled one A2 sized stencil part from the Blended Peonies layering stencil set on some white cardstock. For the peonies I used Bubblegum, Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink and Grand Fuchsia. The four layers of the stencils create peonies in two different shades. For the leaves I used Miami Cool and Italian Denim.

I stenciled the same peony image again in the same inks and cut them all using the coordinating die

To add some texture to the background I cut a white panel using a die from the Gingham Plaid Layering Coverplate die set. As the Gingham plaid is sized for a A2 card , I foam mounted it on the left top side of my white cardbase, which is 4.5” x 6.25”. It doesn’t cover the right and bottom edge of the card but that parts would be covered by the flowers.

Next I arranged the peonies on the card. First I added a cluster with two peonies on the bottom right corner using thin foam tape. Then I mounted two peony clusters on the top right and bottom left corners using thick foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Ribbons Affirmations set. I stamped it in Crystal Pewter and Noir and cut it with the coordinating die. I ink blended a piece of white cardstock in Italian Denim and white heat embossed “YOU ARE” from the same stamp set on it. I foam mounted the sentiments and finished off the card with some Blue Black Opaque Rhinestones

That’s it from me for today! Hope you enjoyed looking my card!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Cosmos Flowers

Hi, crafty friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of Cosmos cards featuring Charming Cosmos and Coming Up Cosmos sets from our August release! Cosmos flower is one of my favorite flowers!

The first card is showing the Coming Up Cosmos which has a gorgeous cosmos cluster image ! A dream to color!

I watercolored the light gray outline image. I colored the flowers in pink and orange! I love that cosmos blooms in various colors! After the coloring was done I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

I ink blended the lower half of a white cardbase in Lemon Drop and Evergreen and splattered white opaque ink on it . I also splattered the Coming Up Cosmos image with the white ink.

I made a scalloped frame using a Scalloped Nested A2 die and a Rectangle A2 Nested die and foam mounted it on the cardbase. I then added the Coming Up Cosmos image on it. The sentiment from Easy Expressions set was gold heat embossed and stamped in Noir. To finish off I added a few Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots.

The second card is showcasing the Charming Cosmos grouped layering stamp set.

I stamped the flowers in light pink, pink and light purple. The ink colors I used are listed below.

I cut the image using the coordinating die, arranged the floral cluster and secured it with a piece of Press’n Seal.

To create the background I first cut three layers of the Gingham Plaid Layering coverplate die set from some white cardstock and ink blended the lower half of them in Bubblegum and Dolled Up. I also ink blended a white cardbase and layered the Gingham Plaid on it.

I added the cosmos cluster to the card using foam tape and added the sentiment from the Easy Expressions set. I finished off the card with a few sequins from Pink Cosmo Twist and Raspberry Sparkle Couture Mixes.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope I was able to inspire you with my cards 🙂 !

Wishing you all a great week!

Mother’s Day Card

Hi there! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here with a Mother’s Day card in a bold color combo, navy and pink!

I used Gingham Plaid Layering Coverplate Dies for the background and placed a little bouquet of carnations on it. For the bouquet I used the outline stamp of the Grouped Fresh Carnations set. The carnations represent the purity of a mother’s love, perfect for a Mother’s Day card!

I started off by gold heat embossing the Carnations from Grouped Fresh Carnations set on a watercolor paper and watercolored them. As the image was heat embossed the watercoloring was so easy and quick. After the flowers were dry I cut them using the Coordinating die and set them aside. The bow was from Christmas Bows grouped layering stamp set. It was stamped in Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink and Pink Derby and cut with the coordinating die.

Before I cut the Gingham Plaid Layering panels I made an ombre blue (dark blue to white) watercolored panel and let it dry. I cut the first layer of the Gingham Plaid Layering Coverplate Dies from the watercolored panel and the second and third layer from some heavyweight white cardstock. I ink blended the two white die cut layers in Italian Denim, Miami Cool and Cobalt Breeze to match with the first layer.

I then chose a navy cardbase, layered the three layers of the Gingham Plaid on it and splattered white opaque ink.

The Sentiment is from Gladiola Cheer stamp set. I heat embossed it in gold on some vellum, cut one end of it in a fishtail and adhered it on the card. I then added the carnations and the bow on the card using foam tape. To finish off I used some sequins from Midnight Frost Couture Mix and Glass Slippers.

I love the freshness which the contrast of the bright colors gives the card. Hope you like it too!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Wishing you all a wonderful week!

Shades of Purple

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of purple cards featuring some of the new products from our Spring Release

The first card is featuring the Palm Layering stencil set and the Gingham Plaid Layering coverplate die set. The Palm Layering Stencil is a larger version of the Happy Palm image. They look both amazing in their four layers. One of my favorites from this release!

I shared a card made using the Happy Palm stamp set on the Release Blog Hop. I used the same colors to stencil the Palm for today’s card.  For the pink part I used Ballet SlippersHollywood StarCosmopolitan pink and Pink Derby and the purple part was stenciled in Soft AmethystIris BloomsGrape Crush and Violet Fringe. I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

For a clean background first I dry embossed a white panel using the second layer of the Gingham Plaid Layering coverplate die set. I then cut the third payer from silver glitter paper. I adhered the dry embossed panel on a white cardbase and foam mounted the silver glitter panel. Next I added the Palm image on it. The sentiment was stamped using Easy Expressions: Thanks set. The scripty part was stamped in Grape Crush and the rest in Noir. To finish off I scattered some Glass Slippers sequins.

For the second card I no line colored the Gladiola Cheer stamp image.

I stamped the image in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake and colored it using Karin brush markers. After the image was completely colored I added a bit of blue and yellow green around the flowers. Next I ink blended two diagonal corners of the panel in Grape Crush and splattered white opaque ink on the whole panel.

I cut a rectangle frame using the Rectangle A2 Nested die set. I cut it two times from some heavyweight white cardstock, adhered them together and added it to the panel. To tuck the frame under the flower I cut the outline of the largest bloom with a Kraft knife. The sentiment is from Easy Expressions Birthday set. The scripty part was stamped in Azurite and Grape Crush and the rest in Noir. I added a few Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots and the card was done.

Thank you so much for looking! Hope you liked my purple creations 🙂 !

Have a crafty day!
