Happy Birthday – Single Sunflower Layering Stencils

Hello, fellow crafters and happy Friday!! Brenda here with a sunflower birthday card to share with you today!! Sunflowers and daisies are some of my favorite flowers!! They’re just so happy, don’t you think?!? I created a birthday card to add to my stash featuring the Single Sunflower Layering Stencil Set & Coordinating Die, along with the Wood Planks Dies!!

I began by die-cutting the Single Sunflower Coordinating Die from white cardstock. I find it easier to line up if I do the die-cutting first. I placed the die-cut on my grip mat, then stenciled the Single Sunflower Layering Stencil Set onto it. I used the following colors: stencil 1: Beach Blondie, Amber Citrine & Soft Garden (leaves); stencil 2: Amber Citrine, Found Topaz (petals), Spiced Chai, Aspen Cocoa & Dark Roast (centers); stencil 3: Found Topaz, Spiced Chai (petals) & Everglade Moss (leaves). I used a yellow gel pen and a black glaze pen to add dots to the center of the sunflower.

For the background, I die-cut the Wood Planks Die and the second largest die in the Rectangle A2 Nested Die Set from white cardstock. I swiped Stormy Sea ink over each of the planks to bring out the texture. Once the ink was dry, I adhered the planks to the white panel, trimmed the excess from the edges, then adhered it to an A2 white card base. The sunflower was adhered using liquid glue.

I found some copper embossing powder in my stash and embossed the sentiment from the Script Notes Stamp Set onto white cardstock. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. The smallest gems in the Metallic Rose Gold Opaque Rhinestone Mix were adhered at the end of each plank and this card was finished.

That does it for me today!! Thank you so much for your time!!

Have a great weekend!!

Brenda
