Just Saying Hello – Darling Daisies

Happy Monday, crafty friends!! Brenda here with you today!! I hope you had a great weekend!! I just got back from spending the weekend with friends at a craft retreat and my heart is so full, but I am literally exhausted!!

I have a card to share with you today featuring the Darling Daisies Layering Stencil Set!!

I wanted to try to figure out a way to make my daisies yellow!! I started by stenciling the first stencil (which is the background for the daisies) onto white cardstock with Cali Blue and Parisian Blue inks and the leaves with Bright Fern ink. Next, I colored in all the remaining white area with a yellow alcohol marker. The details in the daisy petals were stenciled with Found Topaz and Spiced Chai and the centers with Spiced Chai, Aspen Cocoa and Dark Roast inks. I added more details with alcohol markers and colored pencils.

The panel was die-cut with the second largest die in the Rectangle A2 Nested Die Set. I embossed the edges by running a Versamark ink pad along the edges and embossing them with gold embossing powder, then adhered the panel to an A2 panel of blue cardstock. The Dome Frames Slim Borders Coverplate Die was die-cut from yellow cardstock and the third largest die was adhered to the background.

The sentiment, from the Easy Expressions: Just Because Stamp Set, was stamped with Noir ink and gold heat embossed. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam adhesive. I added a few Metallic Gold Dew Drops to draw your eye to the sentiment add another touch of gold.

I love having another option to use this Darling Daisies Layering Stencil Set!!

Thanks so much for spending part of your Monday with me!! Have a wonderful week!!

Brenda
