Congratulations – Peaceful Peonies

Hello, fellow card makers and crafters!! I hope your week is going well!! Brenda here with you today!! Stenciling is all the rage right now, so I decided to revisit some of my favorite layering stencils and the Peaceful Peonies Stencil Set is definitely at the top of the list!!

I started by stenciling the Peaceful Peonies Layering Stencils onto Bristol smooth cardstock with dye inks. I used Bright Fern for the leaves; Peach Blossom, Coralline and Coral Cavern for the small flowers; Soft Orchid, Dolled Up and Grand Fuchsia for the peonies; and Beach Blondie for the flower centers.

I used the Peaceful Peonies Coordinating Die to cut it out, then die-cut it with the largest die in the Rectangle A2 Die Set. It was adhered to a panel of teal cardstock that was die-cut with the same die.

The sentiment, from the Easy Expressions: Just Because Stamp Set, was stamped with Noir Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was popped up with foam tape and Pale Yellow Opaque Gems were added to the centers of the small flowers to finish it off and add a bit of sparkle.

I am in LOVE with this color combo!!

That does it for me today!! Have a great Wednesday!!

Brenda

Dear Brenda, this is a very beautiful card. I wanted to take a moment to mention the hidden tool that makes these cards so perfect and that is the background die to cut the panel. I recently purchased the Scalloped A2 Nested dies and the design is amazing. The intervals of the scallops, and fine cutting of the stitches took my card making from so so to drop dead gorgeous (probably not good for a sympathy card..). Hats off to your creativity! Thank you.
