You’re On My Mind Today – Jumbo Hibiscus

Hello, friends!! Brenda here with a floral hibiscus card that’s perfect to let someone know that you’re thinking of them!! I usually put a couple of hibiscus plants around our pool in the summer and the color was inspired by them!!

I began by stenciling the Jumbo Hibiscus Stencil Set onto white cardstock. For the first layer, I blended Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Beach Blondie and Peach Blossom. Amber Citrine, Coralline and Coral Cavern inks were blended together for the second layer and Spiced Chai ink was used for the final layer of the flower. Spring Salad and Everglade Moss inks were used on the leaves. The Jumbo Hibiscus Coordinating Dies were used to cut them out. I added some detail to the stamen with a yellow gel pen.

For the background, I die-cut one layer of the Diamond Plaid Layering Cover Plate Die Set and adhered it to a top-folding white card base. I splattered it with some gold watercolor and adhered the leaves and hibiscus to it with liquid glue.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Easy Expressions: Just Because Stamp Set with Noir ink and gold heat embossed the script sentiments. I used the Coordinating Die to cut them out and popped one of them up with foam tape. A trio of Pale Orange Opaque Gems add a little sparkle around the sentiment.

That’ll do it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Brenda
