Coming Up Hibiscus

Hello everyone! I hope you had a restful weekend and are feeling recharged for this new week 🙂 ! It’s TaeEun here today, sharing a couple of hibiscus cards with you. To create these cards, I used the Coming Up Hibiscus stamp and Climbing Hibiscus Layering Stencils with the coordinating die. The stamp set and the Stencils coordinate with each other so that you can combine them as you want.

For the first card I used both sets.

I stamped the Coming Up Hibiscus image in Noir and stenciled it using the Climbing Hibiscus Layering stencils. I colored the petals in two tones – red and peach. For the first layer, I used Cherry and Peach Blossom, for the second layer Lipstick Red and Coralline Hybrid, and for the third layer, I used Wine only. There is one stencil for the leaves. First, I blended the leaves in Meadow and added a bit of dark shade to the base of the leaves using Everglade Moss. After I was done with stenciling, I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

To create the background, I watercolored a watercolor paper panel loosely in indigo, violet, and black. I let the panel dry, sprayed pearl water on it, and dry embossed it using the Convention coverplate die. Next, I splattered white ink on it and adhered it to a white cardbase.

I cut the Coming Up Hibiscus image in two pieces and foam mounted them on the sides of the card. The sentiment is from the Easy Expressions Just Because set. The grouped layering stamp set allows you to stamp the sentiments in two colors. I stamped the first part in Noir and heat embossed the second part in gold. The die cut sentiment was added to the card using foam tape.

I scattered a few Blue Black opaque rhinestones on the card, and the card was done!

For the second card, I no line watercolored the Coming Up Hibiscus image. To do that, I stamped the image in Soft Cream on a watercolor paper panel and watercolored the image. I also colored the background around the floral image in brown and green.

Once the coloring was done, I cut the image using the coordinating die. I then dry embossed the background part (negative die cut piece) with the Convention coverplate die and adhered it to a white cardbase. The watercolored Coming Up Hibiscus was added to the card using foam tape.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I white heat embossed it on black and die cut it using the coordinating die. The final touch for this card was some Silver Rainbow Opaque rhinestones

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit today! I hope you enjoyed looking my cards !

Wishing you all a crafty week!
