Pair of Stenciled Rose Cards

Hello, friends and happy Friday!! I hope you’ve had a great week!! I have a couple of cards to share with you today that combine stencils, stamps & dies!!

The first one combines the Mid-Rose Stencil Set & Coordinating Die, Rose Leaves Stencil Set & Coordinating Die, Floral Notes Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies and the Diamond Plaid Layering Coverplate Dies.

I started by stenciling the Mid-Rose Stencils onto white cardstock using Soft Orchid, Orchid Crush, Dolled Up and Plum Wine inks, then used the Coordinating Die to cut them out. The Rose Leaves Stencils were blended onto white cardstock using Soft Garden, Bright Fern and Deep Emerald inks. Those were also cut out with their Coordinating Die.

Next, I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Floral Notes Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Caviar ink. I colored it with Copic markers to closely match the stenciling, added dots to the centers of the flowers with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out.

For the background, I die-cut one layer of the Diamond Plaid Layering Coverplate Die Set from white cardstock and adhered it to an A2 white card base. The stenciled rose and leaves were adhered with liquid glue, while the sentiment was popped up with foam tape. Light Purple Opaque Rhinestones finish it off.

My second card features the Climbing Roses Stencil Set & Coordinating Dies, Quilted Coverplate Slimline Die, Slimline Border Dies and the Floral Notes Stamps & Dies.

I began this one by stenciling the Climbing Roses Stencil Set onto white cardstock using Rose Quartz, Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink, Pink Derby, Soft Garden and Bright Fern inks. The Coordinating Die was used to cut it out.

The sentiment is once again from the Floral Notes Stamp Set. It was stamped with Caviar ink, along with the butterfly and trail, and colored with Copics. I added some dots to the centers of the flowers with a white gel pen, then cut them out with their Coordinating Dies.

For the background on this one, I die-cut the Quilted Coverplate Slimline Die from an A2 panel of white cardstock. One of the dies in the Slimline Border Die Set was cut from the long side of a panel of pink cardstock. I layered them together, then added them to a white card base. The roses were adhered with liquid glue, allowing the top to hang off the top. The sentiment and butterfly were popped up with foam adhesive to complete the card.

I really love the way this turned out!! It still fits in an A6 card for mailing.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Brenda
