Jumbo Spider Mum

Hello everyone! It’s TaeEun here today with a watercolored floral card. I used the Jumbo Spider Mum stamp set and the beautiful Layered Floral Alpha stamp set from previous releases.

To start, I white heat embossed the Jumbo Spider Mum flower and the leaves. The set includes two leaves. So I heat embossed them once again to get a total of four leaves. After that, I watercolored the images, coloring the mum flower in pink and adding a bit of orange here and there. I also darkened the center of the flower. Once I finished coloring, I die cut the images using the coordinating die and set them aside.

To create the background, I first loosely watercolored a mixed media paper panel in pink and yellow, let it dry and cut it using the A2 Quilted coverplate die. I splattered white opaque ink on the panel and let it dry. Additionally, I splattered black ink on it.

I adhered the background panel to a white cardbase and arranged the mum flower and four leaves on it using foam tape as shown in the picture.

The letters from the Layered Floral Alpha set were heat embossed in gold. I then stamped the flowers in Ballet Slippers and Hollywood Star, and the leaves in Soft Garden and Bright Fern. Next, I die cut the finished letters using the coordinating die.

I foam mounted the word “HUGS” on the mum flower and scattered some Soft Pink Gems on the card to finish it off!
