Alcohol Ink Coloring on the Lovely Lily

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far!Β  It’s TaeEun here today sharing a card featuring the Lovely Lily stamp set. I couldn’t resist coloring the big flower using alcohol ink πŸ™‚ ! I’ve also made a video of my coloring process.

I stamped the Lovely Lily on an alcohol ink cardstock in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake ink to get an idea how it would look before adding the alcohol ink to create the background.

I sprayed rubbing alcohol on the alcohol ink cardstock and dropped Sunshine Yellow and Copic Refill Y06 on it. I blended the colors by blowing with a Marker Spritzer tool. I repeated the process till I was happy with the result. I then let the panel dry.

I stamped the Lovely Lily again in an embossing ink and heat embossed it in gold. I then started coloring the lily by dropping the Copic Refill Y06, Y19 and the alcohol ink in Valencia. I moved the inks to blend by tilting the panel. Small areas were colored using a micro applicator. I added lots of golden splatters on the background and a bit on the lily and let the panel dry. I hope the coloring process video could help you understand how I colored the image πŸ™‚ . You can watch it here or on YouTube. The light in my video setting isn’t optimal, so the colors are a bit dull. Sorry about that.

I mounted the colored panel flat on a white cardbase and added the sentiments using some foam adhesives.

The sentiment was stamped and cut using the Layered Floral Alphas stamp set and the coordinating die. The letters were gold heat embossed and the florals were stamped in Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine, Soft Garden and Bright Fern. For the small sentiments I stamped the words from Basic Labels set in Lemon Drop and Coralline hybrid ink in an ombre fashion.

I colored a small piece of alcohol ink cardstock in Valencia, gold heat embossed a butterfly from Beautiful Butterflies 1 stamp set on it and cut it using the coordinating die. I added the butterfly to the card and embellished it with two golden sequins from Pink Cosmo Twist and Princess Glam Couture Mix.

Hello, Spring!

Hello everyone! Hope your week and the new month is off to a great start!!! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a couple of floral cards. I mixed and matched newly and previously released items! I chose “Hello, Spring” as the theme for my cards for today. The tiny wild flowers are starting to bloom here. Even though the weather is still rather wintery, we could say “the Spring is just around the corner :)”!

For my first card I used the beautiful Pink Peonies washi tape as my background.

TT0302 2 1 WM

I adhered the Pink Peonies washi tape on a white cardstock and cut it into a narrow panel using a Double Stitched Rectangle die. On a white cardbase I heat embossed the Confetti border on the bottom in Rose Gold embossing powder and adhered a thin rose gold glitter tape on the top. Then I foam mounted the panel with the Pink Peonies washi tape on the cardbase.

The Layered Floral Alphas were stamped in Noir and the florals on them in Rose Quartz, Soft Garnet, Soft Garden and Bright Fern. I cut the letters using the coordinating die.

I added the letters for SPRING onto the card using some foam tape. The “HELLO” is from Basic Labels set. I heat embossed it in Rose Gold and adhered it on the card.

I finished off the card by scattering some sequins from Guava Sparkle and Summer Soiree Couture Mix.

My second card is nearly a one layer card.

TT0302 1 1 WM

I stamped the Charmed Wildflowers image two times in a black pigment ink on a Canson watercolor paper panel. I also added a solo flower and leaves from the set to fill the gap.

After the stamping was done, I colored the image using Color Burst powders. I added lots of splatters in the colors that I used for the pink and purple flowers and also in white opaque ink. After the panel was dry I cut it using a Double Stitched Rectangle die and mounted it flat on a cardbase.

I cut the letters for my sentiment using Modern Alphas Coverplate die from Glossy fine transparent adhesive glitter paper and from some white cardstock. I adhered them together and foam mounted them on the card as shown in the picture. My finishing touch was some Glass Slippers sequins.

That’s my cards for today! Hope I was able to give you some feeling of Spring with my cards :)!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a crafty day!

Layered Floral Alphas Birthday

Hi peeps. Happy Friday. Vera here.

I am excited to share today’s card as the idea for this card been swirling in my head for a while.

IMG3011.2
For this card, I want to have a soft background and after going back and forth on several image, I decided to go with Transformation. I can honestly say this is one of my all time favorite set from the Ton.
IMG3011.1
Adhere the panel to the card base. Next, I stamped all the layers from Layered Floral Alpha Stamp Bundle and die cut the alphabets using the matching Layered Floral Alphas Coordinating Coverplate. I love that I ended up with enough alphabets to make a few cards. At first, I was going to arrange them straight, but then I realize the stagger look would make it more interesting.

For the word happy I partial stamped the happy birthday sentiment from Macarons set. And, of course, I have to add some mix size dew drops to finish the card.

I am very happy with the way this card turned out. It’s soft looking, totally my style. What do you think of this Layered Floral Alphas set? I for one looking forward to play more with this set and create different look simply by changing the color I used. So fun!

Well peeps, that’s all for me for today. Hope you enjoy today’s card and may your weekend starts off wonderfully. Cheers y’all!

Blue & Gold

Hello everyone! Hope your week and the month of February is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today sharing three cards that I made using some of the new items from our 5th Anniversary Release.

I chose a color combination to give my three cards one theme; blue and gold.

My first card is featuring the chic lady from Lifetime of Love stamp set. As I saw this design, I wanted to try to color this lady in the style of fashion illustration.

TT0203 1 1 WM

I stamped the image on a Toned gray paper panel. I stamped the upper part of the image in Noir and the lower part of the dress in a white pigment ink. I then colored the image and the background roughly using Luminance colored pencils. I emphasized the white highlight to achieve the look I wanted.

TT0203 1 5 WM

I cut the panel using a Double Stitched Rectangle die and a white cardstock in the same way. I adhered the two panels together slightly tilted as shown in the picture and foam mounted them on a navy cardbase. The sentiment is from Timeless Icons Sentiment stamp set. I gold heat embossed it on a strip of vellum and added it to the card. I finished off the card by scattering some blue sequins from Midnight Frost Couture Mix and Light Blue Topaz Sparkling clear sequins.

My second card is showcasing the unique Fill it In sentiments stamp set. This stamp set includes large basic sentiments which have an integrated blank strip inside where you can add thin words provided in the set. I love this idea!

TT0203 2 1 WM

I went very simple with this design. First I’ve created an alcohol inked panel using an Alcohol ink cardstock and alcohol inks in Aqua, Sail Boat Blue and Indigo. I used lots of rubbing alcohol to blend the colors.

Tt0203 2 7 WM

After the panel was dry I heat embossed the big sentiment in gold and the thin words in white. I was thinking whether I should add small flowers like the XOXO Peony, but I decided to leave it as it is. I think the sentiment stamp fills the panel good enough!

TT0203 2 4 WM

Next I have a floral card to share with you πŸ™‚ ! The little floral cluster from XOXO Peony set is very easy to stamp in two layers and you can make a beautiful bouquet by binding several of them together.

TT0203 3 1 WM

I started off by stamping the flowers of XOXO Peony in Cali BlueDeep Sapphire and Parisian BlueTrue Navy combination and the stem in Crystal Pewter and Warm Hazelnut. I fussy cut the three floral clusters and set them aside. The coordinating cut file is also available in our shop.

TT0203 3 5 WM

To create the subtle background I used Mini Dots cling stamp. First I masked the border of the front of a white cardbase with stripes of a masking tape and stamped the Mini Dots Β in blue inks, which I used for the flowers, making it darker towards the center.

TT0203 3 6 WM

Aren’t the Layered Floral Alphas just gorgeous! With the coordinating Coverplate die it is a dream to make those beautiful alphabets! I gold heat embossed the alphabets and stamped the flowers in Cali Blue and Deep Sapphire.

To assemble my card I first arranged the floral clusters on the cardbase. I raised some of the flowers using foam adhesives to add more dimension. The letters were added using foam adhesives as well. The “sending” is from the Dearest Peony stamp set. I stamped it in Noir on a strip of white cardstock, made it into a fishtail banner and adhered it on the card. I finished off the card with some Glass Slippers round confetti sequins.

That’s it from me for today! I hope you enjoyed looking my cards and could get some inspiration πŸ™‚ !

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a great week!
