Hey, crafty friends!! I hope you are all doing well!!
The first one features the Coming Up Cosmos Layering Stencils…
I began by stenciling on Cali Blue, Periwinkle and Grape Crush inks onto white cardstock with blending brushes for the cosmos and Meadow for the leaves and stems. Beach Blondie and Lemon Drop inks were used for the centers of the flowers. I used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I also cut two more die-cuts from white cardstock and layered them behind the stenciled one.
For the background, I die-cut two layers of the Gingham Plaid Layering Coverplate Dies from white and pale yellow cardstock, then layered them over a white, top-folding card base. The sentiment is from the Coming Up Cosmos Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with Grape Crush ink, trimmed and adhered with foam tape. A few Sky Blue Opaque Rhinestones finished off the card nicely.
My second card featured the Coming Up Cosmos Stamp…
It’s been so long since I’ve done no-line coloring that I forgot how much I loved it!! I stamped the Coming Up Cosmos Stamp onto white cardstock with Light Oak ink. I colored it with Copic markers and colored pencils, then cut it out with the Coordinating Die. I also cut two more die-cuts from white cardstock and layered them behind the colored one.
For the background on this one, I die-cut one layer of the Diamond Plaid Layering Coverplate Dies from white cardstock and adhered it to a white, top-folding card base. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock using the Orchid Crush and Plum Wine inks with the Ribbons General Stamp. It was die-cut with the Coordinating Die and adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. Light Purple Opaque Rhinestones were the perfect match.
Which do you prefer…stenciling or coloring? The answer is both for me!! It just depends on my mood!!
Well, that’s it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great Wednesday!!
