Hummingbird Love

Hi peeps! How’s your July going so far? On my neck of the wood we’re facing the hot & humid summer day.

Now, I don’t mind the hot weather, but I can’t help wishing that I am at least in a tropical surrounding. LOL, I think good views always help making the hot weather more bearable. Hah…

Speaking about tropical, I have to say that anything with tropical leaves tend to catch my eyes. Just like this Monstera Layering Coverplate Bundle. I saw it & I was like, ooohhh, this would be fun to play with.

To start, I cut out the leaves from the set using my Brother Scan ‘N Cut. I love this machine & sure been showing it lots of love lately. Then, I inked up the leaves. I decided to go with this cool color combo. Who says leaves have to be green, right?

Once I am happy with the color, I adhere the leaves to the card panel. Trim all the parts that hang over the edge and then I went ahead and glue the panel to the card base.

Next, I played with one of my favorite digital cut file, the Hummingbird and use various color glitter papers. Swoon, I love the way the bird come out.

Next, I adhere the bird to the card base with foam adhesive and added the sentiment from Country Rose Clutter set. Finished by adding some Nuvo enamel drop.

Well peeps, that’s all from me today. Hope you enjoy today’s post. I know I’ve been playing with lots of digital cut files lately, but I sure do still playing with lots of stamps as well. The way I look at it, variation is always a good thing in keeping the creative mojo going. 😉

May your day be a beautiful one. Cheers.
