Hi everyone!!! It’s Brenda here again (two days in a row!) with a very special post. We are so excited to join the super fun 2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  The Ton is proud to be a super sponsor for this hop. You can link up your newly created coffee, tea, and/or cocoa projects with Fall theme for a chance to win many prizes, including a $25 gift certificate to The Ton!

This hop runs from Friday, December 8 – Friday, December 15. Winners will be announced on Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog on Sunday, December 17. See all the details HERE.

When I think of winter in the Midwest, my mind immediately goes to sparkly silver and icy blue tones.

Beginning with the background, I pulled out the beautiful Holiday Love Poinsettia set and got to work. I stamped the poinsettia image four times onto Bristol paper with Versamark, then heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I colored this with Zigs and a water brush, then added silver stickles to the center of each poinsettia. The Double Stitched Rectangle Die (Large) was used to cut the background panel down a bit. For the focal image, I used the Tea Party set and stamped the tea cup with Caviar Ink. I created a mask by stamping onto a full adhesive post-it note and used the outer portion to mask off the outside of the cup. This allowed me to stamp the poinsettia image from the Good Tidings Cluster onto the cup, also using Caviar Ink. The cup was then colored with Copic markers to match the background panel. The saucer was stamped with Blue Diamond dye ink. Both the cup and the saucer were die-cut with the Tea Party Coordinating Die, as was the heart of steam from silver glitter paper. I heat embossed the sentiment from Cozy Poinsettias with silver embossing powder onto a strip of vellum. The card was assembled as shown, popping up the cup and steam with foam adhesive. I also added silver stickles to the center on the poinsettia on the cup. Glass Slipper Round Confetti Couture Mix (one of my go-to mixes), was the perfect touch to frame the sentiment.
