Floral Inspirations

Hi peeps! How’s thing going? Vera here. Today, I have 2 floral beauties to share with you all.

First up is this sympathy card I made using the Watercolor Wreath stamp along with its coordinating Watercolor Wreath dies.

When it comes to sympathy card I always try to go with soft colors. Here, I stamped the card base with Magnolia Fields Cling Background using Versamark ink. I like adding subtle background that can add interest to a card without overwhelming the design.

Once that done, I stamped, heat embossed, die cut, and watercolored the wreath and flower from Watercolor Wreath set. Adhere to card base with pop dots. For the sentiment I went with one of my favorite sentiment set from The Ton called Penned Sentiments.

Here’s a close up look of the card. The magnolia background is very subtle.

Now, my  next card, we shift gear a bit. In case you didn’t know, the theme for this month challenge from The Ton is holiday. Basically create any project with holiday theme. Well, Christmas is my favorite, so I thought I create another holiday card hat hopefully inspire you to play along with this month challenge.

I have to say that I sure do love using this gray tone for my card base. My go to base tend to be white, very soft teal or blue and this gray. For this card, I used the Cozy Poinsettia stamp along with its coordinating dies.

The sentiment is from Holiday Love Poinsettia set. For finishing touch I added some sequins from Sugar Cookie Couture Mix. Also, if you’d like, once you make  your card & enter it to The Ton challenge, you can also mail it to Caring Hearts Card Drive. Double whammy! For details on The Ton challenge please go HERE and for detail fro Caring Hearts Card Drive please go HERE.

Well peeps, that’s all from me today. And, for my fellow Houstonians, go Astros!! Today, we’re celebrating!! 🙂 Thank you for stopping by here & may your Thursday be fantastic.
