Color Pop Peonies!

Good morning!  Jess here with a pair of black and white cards with a pop of color!

I’m still using the flowers I colored from the last 30 Day Coloring Challenge but wanted to do something a little different than my last post.  Both peonies are colored with a single zig clean color real brush marker and a waterbrush!  For my first card I stamped several of the Large Peony 2 stamps onto black cardstock and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder to create a bold graphic look.  Then I stamped the sentiment with Versafine on a piece of white cardstock and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Finally I fussy cut the peony, went over the edge of the flower with a black marker, and then adhered it to the card with foam mounting tape.

Then I wanted to go in the opposite direction!  So I stamped the leaves from Large Peony 1, 2, and 3 onto a piece of white cardstock with Versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder to create an opposite but equally bold graphic background.  I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  I adhered the Large Peony 2 onto the card and then added the sentiment as a label on top.

I’m finding that I really like the look of black and white with only one or two colors…what do you think? 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I love the boldness of your designs & the way the stamps are set off perfectly! B/W is one of my favorite color combos.
