Joy to the World

Hello and Happy Friday, everyone! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a holiday card with you.

I used the new Poinsettias Unlocked layering stencils to create beautiful poinsettias that adorn the die-cut Christmas tree made with the Fancy Folk Tree Layering Coverplate Dies

To begin, I stenciled the poinsettias in pink, purple, and green. Using the Poinsettias Unlocked Layering Stencils you can stencil six poinsettias in different sizes. For the pink poinsettias, I used Whisper Pink, Bubblegum, and Dolled Up. The purple ones were stenciled in Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms, and Grape Crush. As for the green poinsettias, I opted for Soft Garden, Evergreen, and Basil Mojito. To complete the look, I stenciled the centers of the poinsettias in Meadow. Once done with the stenciling, I cut all the poinsettias using the coordinating die

I cut the green poinsettias into several pieces and placed them beneath the pink and purple poinsettias to create the green part of them.

For the background, I used one die from the Fancy Folk Tree Layering Coverplate dies set, which cuts the Christmas tree and pierces the pattern. I cut a dark green panel with the die, adhered the background flat on a white cardbase and foam mounted the tree. Before securing the background panel, I added color to the card base area that would be visible under the punched tiny leaves, blooms, and candy canes.

I then added one purple and one pink poinsettia to the Christmas tree using foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Easy Expressions Holiday set. I stamped a part of it in Noir and the other part was heat embossed in gold. I die cut the sentiment and placed it on the card.

For the finishing touch, I embellished the card with some Pale Orange Opaque rhinestones.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit today! I hope my card has inspired you.

Wishing you all a delightful weekend!

TaeEun
