Climbing Hibiscus Layering Stencils

Hello, everyone! Hope you’re having a lovely weekend! It’s TaeEun here today with a stenciled hibiscus card. I used the Climbing Hibiscus layering stencils to create my card. There is a coordinating outline stamp called Coming Up Hibiscus. However, I didn’t use it to give my card a no-line coloring look. You can achieve this easily using the layering stencils !

To start, I first cut white cardstock using the Climbing Hibiscus coordinating die. I placed it on the Grip Mat and began stenciling. It’s much easier to align the stencils, if you have the shape already cut. I stenciled the center of the flowers in pink and the tips of the petals in coral-orange. For the first layer I used Bubblegum and Peach Blossom, and for the second layer, Deep Peony and Coralline hybrid ink. The third layer was stenciled in Pink Derby. I stenciled the stamen in orange, and the leaves were colored in Matcha. I added a bit of Everglade Moss to the leaves for some depth. I also shaded the darkest part of the flowers using a dark pink colored pencil.

To create the background, I first stenciled a white panel using the Abstract Clouds stencil in Soft Ash, Cali Blue and Soft Amethyst. After stenciling, I dry embossed the panel with the Geo Triangles coverplate die and glued it onto a white cardbase.

The Climbing Hibiscus image was then foam mounted to the background.

The sentiment is from the Coming Up Hibiscus stamp set. I stamped it in Noir and cut it using the coordinating die. I cut it once again from some purple cardstock and layered it under the sentiment die cut piece, slightly shifted.

I finished off the card with a few Dark Purple Opaque rhinestones.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I hope I was able to inspire you with my card today!

Hibiscus Thinking of You

Hi friends. Vera here. Today, I am showcasing Sun Rays Layered Stencil, Climbing Hibiscus Layering Stencil and Coming Up Hibiscus Stamp set.

To start, using the 1st layer of the Sun Rays stencil and Lemon Drop ink, I created the background directly on the card base. Then I did partial die cut on the card base using Climbing Hibiscus Coordinating die. Put aside. I took a panel of cardstock using Climbing Hibiscus Layering Stencil and inked up the stencil using Orchid Crush, Dolled Up, Soft Garden & Spring Salad.

At this point, you could leave it just the way it is if you want to go with softer look or you could stamp the outline of the flower like I did using Coming Up Hibiscus Stamp set. Then die cut the image and then cut another piece to layer it up. Adhere everything together and add to the card base.

Finish the card by adding sentiment from Large Floral Peony set and there you go. Well peeps, that’s all I have for today and hope you enjoy today’s card. May your week goes smoothly as we hit mid of the week. Cheers…

Sending Hugs & Best Wishes

Hi friends. Vera here. I hope you all have a lovely holiday season. As we’re getting ready for the new year, I am back in full swing to general, day to day cards. Today, I actually have a couple cards to share. I am loving the Heartfelt Blossoms Layering Stencil set so much, that I made another one with this set after my last post.

Start by stamping the image using Heartfelt Blossoms stamp set and Aspen Cocoa ink. I chose to use this ink instead of black to get softer lines. Using Grip Mat to hold the panel and Heartfelt Blossoms Layering Stencil inked blending Lofty Mint, Bright Emerald & Soft Garden. I also used Copic markers on the leaves to added a bit more details. Once done die cut the image with the coordinating Heartfelt Blossoms Dies. Put aside and die cut the background using Geo Triangles Coverplate dies. Adhere this to card base and then adhere the flower on top of it. Finish by stamping sentiment from Rose Labels set with Ocean Teal and add some Stickles to the center of the flower for a bit of shimmer.

Bonus card! I made the card below using Coming Up Hibiscus stamp set & Climbing Hibiscus Layering stencil. Same step as above, except I heat embossed the stamped image this time.

Sigh…. gotta say that playing with flower image never gets old for me. I just love them. Well peeps, that’s all I have for now. By the time I am posting next we’ll be in the new year, so I wish you all a very happy New Year! May the coming year be filled with many blessings for you and your family.

Coming Up Hibiscus

Hello everyone! I hope you had a restful weekend and are feeling recharged for this new week 🙂 ! It’s TaeEun here today, sharing a couple of hibiscus cards with you. To create these cards, I used the Coming Up Hibiscus stamp and Climbing Hibiscus Layering Stencils with the coordinating die. The stamp set and the Stencils coordinate with each other so that you can combine them as you want.

For the first card I used both sets.

I stamped the Coming Up Hibiscus image in Noir and stenciled it using the Climbing Hibiscus Layering stencils. I colored the petals in two tones – red and peach. For the first layer, I used Cherry and Peach Blossom, for the second layer Lipstick Red and Coralline Hybrid, and for the third layer, I used Wine only. There is one stencil for the leaves. First, I blended the leaves in Meadow and added a bit of dark shade to the base of the leaves using Everglade Moss. After I was done with stenciling, I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

To create the background, I watercolored a watercolor paper panel loosely in indigo, violet, and black. I let the panel dry, sprayed pearl water on it, and dry embossed it using the Convention coverplate die. Next, I splattered white ink on it and adhered it to a white cardbase.

I cut the Coming Up Hibiscus image in two pieces and foam mounted them on the sides of the card. The sentiment is from the Easy Expressions Just Because set. The grouped layering stamp set allows you to stamp the sentiments in two colors. I stamped the first part in Noir and heat embossed the second part in gold. The die cut sentiment was added to the card using foam tape.

I scattered a few Blue Black opaque rhinestones on the card, and the card was done!

For the second card, I no line watercolored the Coming Up Hibiscus image. To do that, I stamped the image in Soft Cream on a watercolor paper panel and watercolored the image. I also colored the background around the floral image in brown and green.

Once the coloring was done, I cut the image using the coordinating die. I then dry embossed the background part (negative die cut piece) with the Convention coverplate die and adhered it to a white cardbase. The watercolored Coming Up Hibiscus was added to the card using foam tape.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I white heat embossed it on black and die cut it using the coordinating die. The final touch for this card was some Silver Rainbow Opaque rhinestones

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit today! I hope you enjoyed looking my cards !

Wishing you all a crafty week!
