Sweet Cherry Blossoms

Hello, everyone! It’s TaeEun here today with a floral card featuring Sweet Cherry Blossoms stencils and the postage-themed stamp and stencils from the ninth Anniversary Release.

I tried watercoloring the Sweet Cherry Blossoms image using the stencils and added the floral arrangement to the postcard background.

To start, I die cut a watercolor paper panel using the Sweet Cherry Blossoms coordinating die and colored the image after securing the die cut watercolor paper on the Grip Mat. I colored the flowers through the stencils, starting the first layer in soft pink. Then I watercolored through the stencils for the second and third layer in darker pink, after the previous layer was dry. After that, I watercolored the leaves and the stem using the stencil and let the watercolored piece dry.

To create the background, I first stenciled the Postage Stripes in Valentine Red and Deep Sapphire. Next, I stamped some elements from the Not a Bill stamp set onto the background in Noir and stenciled the hearts using the Postage Stripes stencil in Bubblegum.

I ink blended Bubblegum in the area where I wanted to place the Sweet Cherry Blossoms image and foam mounted the flowers onto the background. I cut  a flower off from the lower end of the watercolored image and placed it over another flower using foam tape to give the floral arrangement some dimension.

To finish off I scattered a few Crystal Clear Rainbow Rhinestones.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card!
