Hey, friends!! Happy Wednesday!! As you’re reading this, I’m actually on vacation (for the first time in yeeeaaarrrsss) in Mexico. So I really am sending warm hugs your way!!

I began by stamping the images in the Cardinal Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Caviar Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, then cut them out with their Coordinating Dies. The sentiment, from the same set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Noir Ink. I die-cut the sentiment, as well as a panel of dark blue cardstock with the Double Stitched Rectangle A2 Nested Dies. I splattered the panel with diluted white gouache and set it aside to dry.

Once the background panel was dry, all I had to do was arrange and adhere everything. I added a dot to the eye of the cardinal with a black glaze pen and some Nuvo drops to the berries and the snow on the branch.

That’s it!! A pretty simple card, but the contrast with the dark background is really striking!!
