Sympathy & Thinking of You Cards

Hello, fellow crafters!! I hope your week is going well!!

I have a sympathy and a thinking of you card to share with you today.

For this one, I started by stamping the layers of the Happy Palm Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Matcha, Meadow, Deep Emerald and Everglade Moss inks, then cut it out with the Coordinating Die. For the background, I die-cut the Grid A2 Coverplate Die from white cardstock and layered it over a white cardbase.

I added a green frame that was cut from green cardstock using the Rectangle A2 Frames Slim Borders Coverplate Die. The sentiment, from the Easy Expressions Sympathy Stamp Set, was stamped with Matcha and Noir inks, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was popped up with foam adhesive. I tried to keep this card on the masculine side, as most of the sympathy cards in my stash are more floral and feminine.

For my second card, I began with the pop-up feature on the inside…

I die-cut all of the elements for the pop-up poppy from pink, yellow and white cardstock using the Poppy Pop-Up Die Set. I blended on Whisper Pink, Bubblegum, Cherry, Matcha, Meadow and Noir inks with blending brushes and added in details with the Poppy Pop-up Die Coordinating Stencil. I followed Effie’s instructional video and adhered the poppy to the center of the card.

For the front, I inked up the new Grouped Fresh Poppies Stamp Set with Whisper Pink, Bubblegum, Cherry, Matcha, Meadow, Spring Salad, Amber Citrine and Noir inks, then cut them out with the Coordinating Die.

The top layer of the Diamond Plaid Layering Coverplate Dies was cut from white cardstock and adhered over a white cardbase, for a tone-on-tone look. The poppy bouquet was arranged and adhered toward the left side.

The greeting is from the Easy Expressions Sympathy Stamp Set. It was stamped with Cherry and Noir inks, then cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered with foam tape.

There you go!! A more masculine sympathy card and a floral card that can be sent at any time just to brighten someone’s day!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll see you soon!!

Brenda
