Hello and Happy Friday everyone! It’s TaeEun here today with a trio of stenciled cards featuring three layering stencils from the Summer 2024 stencil release.
Two of them are Postage layering stencils that coordinate with the Postage Party die from the Anniversary release. The first two cards are showing the Postage: Mountains Layering Stencils and the Postage: Cherry Blossoms Layering Stencils along with other Postage themed products : Postage Party Die, Postage: Stripes Stencils, Not a Bill stamp.
Let’s start with the card that features Postage: Cherry blossoms Layering Stencils.
To start, I cut white panel using Postage Party die and stenciled the cherry blossom image on it. I stenciled the first layer of the flowers with Bubblegum, focusing mainly on the tips of the petals. Next, I ink blended the second layer of the flowers in Peach Blossom (center) and Dolled Up. The leaves were stenciled with Matcha and the stem in Found topaz. I added a bit of dark shade to the stems using Dark Roast. For the stamen, I used Light Onyx.
I added the Postage: Stripes in Matcha and Dolled Up to a white cardbase. I placed the stenciled panel on the cardbase and stamped the postage signs from the Not a Bill stamp set on them in Noir.
The small sentiment is from the Layered Floral Alpha stamp set, stamped at the bottom of the front panel in Noir.
I foam mounted the stenciled panel on the cardbase and adhered Soft Pink Gems to the center of the flowers to finish off the card.
The next Postage card showcases the Postage: Mountains Layering stencils.
To stencil the Postage: Mountains image on the Postage Party panel, I started with the sky. I ink blended Lemon Drop around the Sun, then the Peach Blossom next to the Lemon Drop. The rest of the sky was ink blended in Iris Blooms. For the light green areas, I used Matcha ; for the middle green, Spring Salad, and for the dark green, Everglade Moss. The two blue shades for the mountains and the lake were stenciled in Periwinkle and Deep Sapphire.
To stencil the Postage: Stripes on a white cardbase, I used Matcha and Iris Blooms this time. The sentiment and the postage sign from the Not a Bill set were stamped in Noir.
I foam mounted the front panel on the cardbase and scattered a few Fern Green Gem on the cards.
The last card for today shows the Cosmos Border Layering Stencils. I made a shaker card using the stencils and the Floral Border die.
You can stencil the flowers in two tones. I did it in pink and purple. The three layers of the pink cosmos flowers were stenciled with Ballet Slippers, Dolled Up, and Deep Peony. The three layers of the purple flowers were stenciled in Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms, and Grape Crush. The leaves were colored in Matcha.
I cut out the central part of the panel using the Floral Border die, which coordinates with the Cosmos Border stamp and Cosmos Border Layering Stencils. Next, I cut the panel using the largest die from the Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested die set. I cut some white fun foam twice using the same dies and trimmed the perimeter of the fun foam to make it slightly smaller than the front panel. I stacked them together to make the shaker wall. Next I adhered a piece of clear acetate sheet on the back of the front panel and added it to the fun foam.
As the shaker element, I chose the Pink Cosmo Twist Couture Mix. I also added a few Soft Pink Gems to the center of a soft pink cardbase for some bling in the window. Then I mounted the shaker wall with the front panel on the cardbase.
The sentiment is from the Easy Expressions Just Because set. I heat embossed the scripted part in Liquid Platinum and stamped the rest in Noir. I cut it using the coordinating die and foam mounted it to the card.
That’s it from me for today. Sadly, this is my last post as a member of The Ton design team. I’m stepping down from the team but will remain a huge fan of The Ton’s unique style and look forward to following the amazing creations my talented teammates will produce with The Ton Products in the future!
I appreciate all the love and support you have shown me over the past eight years !
Thank You!
