Hi there crafty friends. Vera here and today I am sharing a set of Christmas cards featuring the new Vintage Santa Layering Stencil set. I think this set is pretty cool as I haven’t seen any like this on the market and am excited to play with it.
The step is pretty explanatory. I just do each layer of the stencil. For Santa’s uniform and hat I used Cherry dye ink and just varied the amount of ink to create different intensity between each layer. For the skin I used Soft Cream, for the beard I used Moonlight dye ink. And, finally for the background I used Soft Garden and Spring Salad. I am also thrilled that in the making of this card, I get to use the Ton new Grip Mat.

I like that this mat doesn’t take much space at all. After all my craft desk already have a lot of stuff on it. Hah… that’s why I can’t make video, because my desk looks cray messy. Anyway, once I finish with the stencil, I simply trim the panel and adhere it to the card base. To finish, I stamp the sentiment from the new Good Tidings set. I figure the 2 sets have that vintage style, so might as well combine them. I actually ended up making another card using the same sets and just changing the color a bit.
All in all I completed both cards in just about an hour. This Santa sure looks adorable, in my opinion.
Well peeps that’s all I have today. May your Thanksgiving week starts off wonderfully and if you’re traveling, I wish you all safe travel and hopefully you have a good time with your family & friends. Till next time.
