Hello everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful Friday! It’s Jenny here and I’m taking over the blog today! This is my first post for The Ton and I am so excited to be here! 🙂
For today’s card, I made a beautiful watercolor cherry blossom card using our Always Cherry Blossom stamp set. I’ve always been a big fan of our floral stamp sets, and this set is not an exception. I am also featuring our beautiful Rose Gold Embossing powder on this card. This embossing powder is so gorgeous, I quickly fell in love with it.
Here is the card:
- I first stamped the cherry blossom branch image from the set on a A2 sized Arches cold press watercolor paper with the VersaMark ink. I heat embossed with our Rose Gold embossing powder. This powder has such a beautiful blush pink tone, it’s a perfect match for the cherry blossom image.
- I colored the heat embossed image with Stabilo 68 pens. Colors I used are: 29,56, 33, 36, 45, and 75. I love the bright pigments of these pens. I laid pigments mostly on the center and blended them out with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen, instead of the clear water. This gives the image beautiful sparkles!
- After the image was completely dry, I colored the background using the Cobalt Blue Zig Clean Color Real Brush pen. I prefer using Zig pens over Stabilo pens for coloring larger areas, as they blend out better.
- I trimmed down a Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock to 4″x5.25″, swiped the edges with the VersaMark ink, and heat embossed with our Rose Gold embossing powder to create a bottom layer panel.
- I trimmed the watercolor paper down to 3.75″x5″, rounded 2 corners with the Corner Chomper, and stamped the sentiment with our Noir ink. I stamped the sentiment twice (used Misti tool) and it gave a bold and crisp impression.
- I adhered the bottom layer panel and the watercolor paper to a 4″x5.25″ sized white cardbase.
- I finished the card off by adding some Fairy Pink Sparkling Clear sequins.
That’s it for today and I hope you enjoyed the card!
Thank you for dropping by! Have a fabulous weekend! 🙂
That is a really incredible card! And if you didn’t detail out exactly how you made it I wouldn’t catch all those details from just a snapshot, so thank you for sharing because I love it and want to case it! 😄
