Floral cards

Hello crafty friends, Mayline  here with a couple of watercolor floral cards created using our Loose Peonies stamp set. As you know watercolor is my favorite paint medium. I love the translucent colors and the fluid way they smoothly blend together. It’s beautiful and there are so many wonderful  projects we can create with watercolor paint. Yeah… that is why I cannot get out of it. Well, Yes! I created watercolor floral cards again. Aren’t they so beautiful? They are quick and easy one layer cards.

Here is how I made this card. To start off, I stamped the peony flower images from our Loose Peonies stamp set on all the edges of an A2 sized watercolor paper (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches) panel using our Noir dye ink which is a perfect ink to use on any watercolor project! No smudging or smearing at all. Next I selected the colors I wanted to use. After that I started to color the images using watercolor paint. I didn’t color them accurately. I just loosely painted them. Lastly I stamped a sentiment from sending peonies stamp set with the Noir dye ink. That’s it.

Here is my second card in the same way that I created the first card. I used our Loose Peonies stamp set and Happiest of Peonies stamp set for the sentiment. Which color combo do you like? First card or second card? Personally I like first card color combo (Yellow, Pink, and Pale mint color)
