Good morning! Jess here with a pair of coffee-inspired cards! The Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is happening this week and The Ton is a Super Sponsor and a Flash Sponsor! To help celebrate the Hop I decided to create coffee cards using some of the fabulous stamps and dies from The Ton!
My first card uses the Coffee word die, the Defined stamp sets, and the Hug in a Mug stamp set!
I started by stamping the mug from Hug in a Mug onto white cardstock with the copic-friendly Caviar ink. Next I colored the mug with copic markers, stamped the latte art with Hampton White pigment ink, and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. To complete the mug I added a layer of glossy accents over my coffee. Once that dried completely I mixed the definitions from Love Defined and Friend Defined and stamped with Noir ink. I also die-cut the Coffee word from teal cardstock and adhered it to my card. I trimmed the panel down and mounted it to a teal card base.
My second card was inspired by a rescue dog t-shirt I saw online a few weeks ago! I just loved that sentiment and thought it would be perfect for a coffee card!
I often feel like it’s a dogs and coffee kind of day…thankfully I have two adorable pups and a great Aeropress so that I can make it happen whenever it’s needed! 😉 I printed out my sentiment on white cardstock and then stamped the cup from Tea Party. Technically it’s a tea cup but I’m going to pretend there’s coffee in there! I stamped the pretty floral overlay with copic-friendly Caviar ink and then masked off the top of the cup and stamped the dog from Love and a Dog. I colored the cup and dog with copic markers and added a little sparkle to the cup. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of cardstock and then hand drew the little speech bubble. I fussy cut the speech bubble and adhered it to the panel with foam mounting tape. Finally I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a light purple card base.
I hope my cards give you a little inspiration for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I hope you’ll use some of the fabulous Caffeine sets from The Ton for your coffee and tea creations! Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day!
