Alcohol Ink Coloring – Sweet Bouquet

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a floral card featuring Sweet Bouquet stamp set. As you may know, I love coloring flowers.  The beautiful floral stamps by The Ton are super to color, as they have oft large flower images in the cluster.

For today’s post I colored the floral cluster from Sweet Bouquet stamp set using alcohol ink.

I stamped the image on an alcohol ink cardstock panel in a light ink to created the background. The stamped image worked as a guide for me while I added alcohol inks on the panel. First I sprayed lots of rubbing alcohol on the panel and dropped Shell Pink and Aqua alcohol ink on it and blended them by blowing using a marker spritzer tool. I repeated the process till I was happy with the result.

After the background was dry I gold heat embossed the Sweet Bouquet on it. I then colored the image by dropping the ink and moving the panel. Small areas were colored using a micro applicator. I used Amethyst, Purple Twilight, Flamingo and Shell pink for the large flowers. Amethyst, Turquoise for the small flowers and Citrus and Limeade to color the leaves. After the colored panel was completely dry, I splattered lots of Gold Mixative on the whole panel and let it dry.

I cut the colored panel with a Double Stitched Rectangle die.  I chose a navy cardbase and foam mounted the colored panel slightly tilted on it and cut off the excessive parts over the sides. The sentiment was cut using Hello word die four times from the same navy cardstock I used for the cardbase. I gold heat embossed one of the word die cuts partially and stacked all four die cuts together.  I finished off the card with some Medallion Gold sequins.

Hope I could brighten your day a bit with my spring-y card 🙂 ! I love the vibrant colors of the alcohol ink!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Wishing you a crafty day!

Hugs,

You are so clever with your AI colouring TaeEun as it is really difficult to achieve such a perfect look with very little spill over, and the soft background complements it beautifully, and love the way you have tilted the topper over the pretty background and used the same card for the partially gold embossed sentiment, and also finished with the sweet sequins. x
