Morning Glories

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to The Ton’s friends in the US! Hope you’re having a wonderful time with your family! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of cards featuring our new morning glory stamps, Coming Up Morning Glories and Morning Glory Greetings! And of course one of them is a Thanksgiving card 🙂 !

My Thanksgiving card is showing Coming Up Morning Glories.

I stamped and gold heat embossed Coming Up Morning Glories two times to make the floral cluster to fill about three quarters of my card panel. I colored the morning glories in Peony Color Burst and the leaves in various green shades.

The background was colored in yellow green and brown. I added lots of splatters in the colors I used to color and also in opaque white ink on the panel and let it dry.

To add some interest to my card I created a frame using two largest Double Stitched Rectangle dies and ink blended on the frame in Ballet Slippers.

I glued the central rectangle of the colored panel on a white cardbase and added the frame using some foam adhesives to the card. The sentiment is from Autumn Foliage stamp set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of kraft cardstock, cut one end in a fish tail and added it to the card. I finished off the card with a few clear Dew Drops.

To make the next card I used the coordinating cut files for Coming Up Morning Glories and Morning Glory Greetings.

I added two Coming Up Morning Glories cut files and two Morning Glory Greetings cut files to my Cricut workspace and placed them in a floral frame and welded them before cutting it from some heavyweight white cardstock.

I then stamped Coming Up Morning Glories and Morning Glory Greetings on the floral frame in Caviar Hybrid ink. My actual plan was to color the morning glories using Copic markers but the floral frame stamped in simple black on a black cardbase looked great for me. So I decided to go as it is and add a bit of gold to it.

I colored the center of the flowers in gold watercolor and splattered the gold ink all over the image and also on a black cardbase.

The sentiment is from Coming Up Morning Glories set. I white and gold heat embossed it directly on the black cardbase.

The morning glory frame was adhered on the cardbase using some foam tapes. Medallion Gold sequins were my finishing touch for this card!

I hope I was able to inspire you with my cards today!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving day!

Hugs,

TaeEun
