Scenic Birthday Wishes

Hi friends. Vera here to bringing you inspiration on behalf of The Ton as we get ready for the weekend. Today, I am featuring one of the scene stencil set that was part of our Summer release, Glacierscape Layering stencil.

I am using quite a mix of inks to create this scene. For the like am using Caribbean Turquoise, Cali Blue, for the mountain I used Miami Cool, Azurite and Deep Sapphire. For the sky I used Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine, Grand Fuchsia & Iris Blooms. I basically just have fun playing with the color.

And, actually for the bottom side of the card, I decided to add some of the trees from Mountainscape Layering Stencil just to add a bit of brightness from the green to the scene. I draw some birds as well to finish the scene. Lastly add sentiment from Toned Squares (which sadly already been discontinued).

That’s all I have for today peeps. I hope you enjoy today’s card and as always I wish you all a happy weekend. Cheers…

Climbing Cosmos

Hi all. Vera here. Today I am excited to share a couple cards that I made using The Ton Climbing Cosmos Layering Stencil set. I love, love, love this set and just been having fun playing with it. Here’s my 1st card.

To start I die cut the flower using Coming Up Cosmos die. Next, I used Climbing Cosmos Layering Stencil with Orchid Crush, Dolled Up, Cherry, Lemon Drop, Coralline, Meadow & Evergreen. Once this done, I put it aside and work on the card background. For the background I used Many Mums Cling Background stamp with Soft Amethyst and stamp it directly to the card base. Next, I used one of the leftover frame I have from my previous card that I die cut using Rectangle A2 Frames Slim Borders Coverplate Die. I figure using a frame would help ground and highlight the flowers.

For the sentiment I used one of the sentiment from Easy Sentiment set. Finished by covering the image with shimmer marker. Now, on to my 2nd card. I used the same stencil set and for the colors I used Bright Emerald, Hot Tourmaline, Orchid Crush, Dolled Up & Evergreen.

This time, for the background I used patterned paper. I love the black and white against these colors. For the sentiment again I used one of the sentiment from Easy Sentiment set. Added some shimmers and finished by adding some Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots.

I think I prefer the 2nd card because I just love the color combo. How about you? I hope you enjoy today’s cards and get some time to craft this week. That’s all I have for today. May your week starts off in a good way. Have a wonderful week everyone.
