Lily Hugs

Hi friends. Vera here. As it’s been my goal this year to use more and more of older stamp and dies set, for today’s post I am practicing this effort. Today, am showcasing an older set that I still love to this day, the Lily Trio Layering Coverplate die.

There are 4 layer of this lily trio and I die cut each layer out of white cardstock, except for the top outline layer, which I used gold cardstock. I ink blended Hollywood Star on the 1st base layer, then Deep Peony for the 2nd layer and finally Iris Blooms on the 3rd layer. For the flower buds I used Soft Garden and Bright Emerald.

Carefully glued all the layer together. When that done, I decided to trim the frame part as I just want to use the flower part. I think it gives a softer effect by trimming the frame. Adhere to card base.

Finish the card by heat embossing one of the sentiment from Rose Labels set. Pretty quick and easy, but packing quite a punch if I may say so. πŸ™‚ How often do you play with the older sets on your stash? I think when a set is gorgeous, it’s easy to get inspire to use the sets again and again even after a few years. I hope somehow in my little way, I get to inspire you to reach out to your older sets and create. That’s all I have for today> May your week starts off in a good way. Cheers….

Lily Trio

Hello crafty friends! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a couple of cards I made using the Lily Trio Layering Coverplate Dies set. This set includes four coverplate dies with which you can create an A2 sized layered lily arrangement easily!

For my first card I used the four layers of coverplate die cut pieces. It was a quick and easy one to make using the Lily Trio Layering Coverplate Dies set.

I cut the layers from dark pink, pink and light pink cardstock, lightening the color towards the top layer. The outline layer was cut from some heavyweight white cardstock. I assembled all the layers together and added it to a dark gray cardbase on which I splattered some white opaque ink.

The sentiment was stamped using Easy Expressions : Thanks stamp set. I stamped the Scripty part in Soft Garnet and the rest in Noir. I cut it using the coordinating die and added it to the card. To finish off the card I scattered some sequins from Pink Diamond Couture Mix.

The main actor of the second card is the die cut sentiment created using the Tall and Skinny Alpha Coverplate die. The Lily Trio Layering Coverplate Dies was used to create the background.

I dry embossed a watercolor paper panel using the outline layer die of the Lily Trio Layering Coverplate Dies and watercolored it loosely in soft pink and green.

The letters for BEAUTIFUL was cut using the Tall and Skinny Alpha Coverplate die three times from white cardstock and once from Adhesive Glitter paper glossy fine silver.

To assemble the card I trimmed the background panel a bit and foam mounted it on a gray cardbase. The die cut letters were stacked together and added to the card. I cut β€œyou’re” using Sweetheart Word Plate die from some watercolor paper, colored it in light pink and added it onto the BEAUTIFUL. Here also I used some sequins from Pink Diamond Couture Mix to embellish the card.
