Peonies Unlocked

Hi peeps. Vera here. Today, I decided to create double fold card with center opening. Now & then I need to remind myself to do something different and I have to say it’s refreshing to do so. After looking at my stash, I went with Peonies Unlocked Layering stencil set.

I start by ink blending Hot Tourmaline, Ocean Teal for the peonies, Soft Garden and Spring Salad for the leaves. Once I finished with the coloring, die cut the pieces using Peonies Unlocked Coordinating dies.

The card is the standard 4.25 x 5.50 inch card and simply arrange all the pieces on the card base. Make sure not to put any adhesive on the part that overlap to the other panel. I also used foam adhesive on the middle of the flower parts to create dimension. Trim any excess part and finish by stamping sentiment from Rose Labels set with Hot Tourmaline . Quick and simple without being too simple. 🙂

Short and sweet today, peeps. I hope you enjoy today’s card and I wish you all a lovely week. Cheers…

Sending Hugs

Hi friends. Happy Fri-yay! Vera here. After a super hot summer in Houston, I am so happy that we finally have fall weather. Like literally when I felt the crisp air last weekend, hubby & I feel so much joy just to be able to enjoy sitting outside enjoying our backyard. With fall weather, I know my garden savvy friends already talk about what to plant. Since I am still semi brown thumb, I’ll share my paper flower. 🙂

As you can probably see from the post on The Ton, the Climbing Peruvian Lilies layering stencil is a big hit. We all love using this set. Here, I used Hollywood Star, Dolled Up, Coral Cavern, Honey Dew and Meadow ink pad for the coloring. Once done, die cut with Coordinating Coming Up Peruvian Lilies die. I also die cut 2 more piece to layer and thicken up the inked up die cut lilies. Put aside. Using Coming Up Peruvian Lilies Stamp, stamped the image twice directly on card base using Soft Ash ink.

Blend some Cali Blue ink on the bottom of the card and then adhered the die cut lilies. For the sentiment, I used the sentiment from Group Fresh Daisies set.

I thin this card turned out pretty well and I sure hope you agree with me. 🙂 That’s all I have for today friends. Hope you enjoy today’s inspiration and I wish you all a lovely weekend. Cheers….

Wild Spray Birthday

Hi friends. Vera here today as we’re about to enter the weekend. I hope my card today can inspire you to get crafty this weekend. With the recent anniversary release, I want to showcase the Wild Spay Layering Stencils.

I really love the way my card turned out using this stencil. I started by stenciling the set a couple times as I know I want to layer them. I used Bright Emerald, Periwinkle, Meadow and Noir. Yes, it looks like I used more colors, but all I really did was just varying the pressure and the amount of color on the brushes to get the different color on each layer. I also used Copic markers on some areas where I want the darker shade to show up a bit more. Then I die cut the flowers with coordinating Wild Spray die and put aside. For the background, I stamped Peony Crush Cling Background with Arctic Sky as I want a really soft background. Trim the panel and adhere to card base.

Arrange the flowers on the card. For the sentiment I used the word Hug from Grouped Fresh Daisies set. Then, since I made a booboo, I ended up stamping the word birthday and just for you on a strip of cardstock to cover the booboo. And, forgive me, i forgot to write down the set name before I store them back.

Finish the card by adding some mix size Sea Foam Opaque rhinestones. Maybe it’s just me, but soft turquoise color with some periwinkle makes me happy. Just love this color combo.

Well, I hope you enjoy today’s card. That’s all I have for today and I wish you all a super duper fun weekend. Cheers…
