Hello crafty friends! Hope your September is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of floral cards I made using two beautiful floral stamp sets from our Fall Release: Sweet Bouquet and Dahlia Close Up 2. I used two different coloring mediums to make my cards: colored pencils and alcohol ink.
The first card is featuring the beautiful Sweet Bouquet .
I stamped the Sweet Bouquet image on a toned gray paper panel in a white pigment ink. I left the stamp in my MISTI to use it later after coloring. I colored the image using Prismacolor colored pencils. I prefer Prismacolor pencils to Polychromos, when I use colored paper. I used lots of white and bright colors to cover the gray paper.
After the coloring was completed, I stamped the bouquet again in an embossing ink and heat embossed the outline image in white. I cut the panel using a Double Stitched Rectangle die and mounted it flat on a white cardbase.
The sentiment from the same stamp set was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted onto the card. I finished off the card with a few clear Dew Drops.
For the second card for today I colored the gorgeous Dahlia Close Up 2 using alcohol inks.
To make this card I started off by stamping the image on an alcohol ink cardstock panel in a light ink. It helps me to choose the right color while I’m roughly adding alcohol inks to the panel. I dropped and blended Purple Twilight, Raspberry, Flamingo and Shell Pink where the large Dahlia flower is and added Slate to the area where the leaves are. I used rubbing alcohol to blend the inks.
After the panel was dry I silver heat embossed the image with the help of MISTI. I then started to add more colors onto the image. I used the same colors mentioned above and micro applicators to add darker shades on the petals and leaves.
After all the colors were dry I mounted the panel flat on a white cardbase. The sentiment was cut using Hugs word die from Glossy Fine Silver adhesive glitter paper and from some white cardstock. I stacked them together and adhered it on the card. The last finishing touch was some Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins.
I was quite happy with the results 🙂 ! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards today!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
