Birthday Dahlias Postage

Hi friends. Happy leap year! To those who has a birthday today, I hope you get to celebrate your special day in a special way. Vera here today to showcase combination of new and previously released sets.

For my card I am using the new Postage Part Die set and Coming Up Dahlias stamp & Climbing Dahlias Layering Stencil set.

To start, I die cut the postage background and then stamped the dahlia image on it using Caviar ink. Then using the layering stencil colored the flower with Dolled Up, Grand Fuchsia, Iris Blooms and Soft Garden. Adhere the postage panel to card base. Then, I stamped some more details from Not A Bill set and for the sentiment I used sentiment from Postage Sentiments set. Finished by adding some mix size Diamond gem rhinestones.

I feel like I don’t use purple too often, but am quite happy with the way this card turned out. I guess the fuchsia blended with purple make great combination and the green add freshness to the whole design. I hope you love our anniversary release and as always thank you for all your support for The Ton throughout the years. May your weekend be a great one. Cheers….

Climbing Dahlias Layering Stencils

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a nearly one layer Dahlia card. I used the Climbing Dahlias Layering stencils to create the panel with two large dahlias. I also used the coordinating Coming Up Dahlias stamp for the black outline!

To start I stamped the Coming Up Dahlias image in Noir twice on a Neenah solar white panel. To stamp the second image on the left side of the panel I masked one bud. Next I stenciled the image using the Climbing Dahlias Layering Stencils. The dahlias were stenciled in orange, while the right one was colored slightly darker. I used Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine, Peach Blossom and Coraline Hybrid ink for stenciling. The Leaves were stenciled in Soft Garden and Deep Emerald

I ink blended the bottom edge of the panel in Soft Garden and the top part in Parisian Blue with a very light hand. To make the flowers slightly pop I colored the background around the flowers in light gray using some C Copic markers.

I cut a frame from this panel using two Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested dies. The center part was mounted flat on a white cardbase and the frame was foam mounted.

The sentiment from the Sweet Bouquet set was stamped in Noir on some yellow cardstock, cut into a fishtail banner and added to the card. Lastly I finished off the card with a few Bright Yellow Opaque rhinestones

That’s it from me! Hope I was able to inspire you with my card today!

Thank you so much!

Climbing Dahlias

Hello everyone! It’s TaeEun here today with a soft stenciled dahlia card. I used the new Climbing Dahlias stencils which coordinate with the Coming Up Dahlias stamp and die set from a previous release.

I started by heat embossing the Coming Up Dahlias stamp in silver on a Neenah solar white cardstock panel and stenciled the image using the Climbing Dahlias stencil set. I chose blue and purple color scheme for the dahlia flowers and stenciled the leaves in gray. The ink colors I used for the flowers are Blue Diamond, Cobalt Breeze, Parisian Blue, Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms and Grape Crush. I added a hint of pink using a blending brush which I use for blending the pink inks. For the leaves I used Soft Ash and Periwinkle. I die cut the stenciled image using the Coming Up Dahlias coordinating die and set it aside.

To create the background I die cut the Foliage Border from some white cardstock two times and layered them together. I adhered the Foliage Border on a white cardbase on white I blended purple and blue lightly using the blending brushes I used to stencil the flowers.

I placed the Dahlia flower on the background using foam tape and added the sentiment.

The sentiment is from the Coming Up Peruvian Lillies set. I heat embossed the scripty sentiment in silver and cut it using the coordinating die. The sub-sentiment from the same stamp set was heat embossed in white on a strip of purple cardstock.

Lastly I adhered some Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots on the card and the card was done!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed looking my card 🙂 !
