Hello, Spring!

Hello everyone! Hope your week and the new month is off to a great start!!! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a couple of floral cards. I mixed and matched newly and previously released items! I chose “Hello, Spring” as the theme for my cards for today. The tiny wild flowers are starting to bloom here. Even though the weather is still rather wintery, we could say “the Spring is just around the corner :)”!

For my first card I used the beautiful Pink Peonies washi tape as my background.

TT0302 2 1 WM

I adhered the Pink Peonies washi tape on a white cardstock and cut it into a narrow panel using a Double Stitched Rectangle die. On a white cardbase I heat embossed the Confetti border on the bottom in Rose Gold embossing powder and adhered a thin rose gold glitter tape on the top. Then I foam mounted the panel with the Pink Peonies washi tape on the cardbase.

The Layered Floral Alphas were stamped in Noir and the florals on them in Rose Quartz, Soft Garnet, Soft Garden and Bright Fern. I cut the letters using the coordinating die.

I added the letters for SPRING onto the card using some foam tape. The “HELLO” is from Basic Labels set. I heat embossed it in Rose Gold and adhered it on the card.

I finished off the card by scattering some sequins from Guava Sparkle and Summer Soiree Couture Mix.

My second card is nearly a one layer card.

TT0302 1 1 WM

I stamped the Charmed Wildflowers image two times in a black pigment ink on a Canson watercolor paper panel. I also added a solo flower and leaves from the set to fill the gap.

After the stamping was done, I colored the image using Color Burst powders. I added lots of splatters in the colors that I used for the pink and purple flowers and also in white opaque ink. After the panel was dry I cut it using a Double Stitched Rectangle die and mounted it flat on a cardbase.

I cut the letters for my sentiment using Modern Alphas Coverplate die from Glossy fine transparent adhesive glitter paper and from some white cardstock. I adhered them together and foam mounted them on the card as shown in the picture. My finishing touch was some Glass Slippers sequins.

That’s my cards for today! Hope I was able to give you some feeling of Spring with my cards :)!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a crafty day!

Pink Butterflies

Hello everyone! Hope the week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of cards featuring some of our butterfly stamps.

Did you know that there is no real pink butterflies in the nature? I realized it recently as I decided to make the butterflies for my cards pink. I was curious and googled. hmmm.. but why not? Nothing is impossible in cardmaking 🙂 !

For my first card I used Sunny Folk Garden stamp set which includes some whimsical butterflies and layering florals. I added also a frame made using the Garden Foliage Coverplate SVG cut file.

TT1028 1 1 WM

I cut the Garden Foliage Coverplate three times from heavy weight white cardstock and glued them together to add dimension. I set it aside and started to make the main panel. I stamped the layered flowers from Sunny Folk Garden stamp set in Ballet Slippers, Hollywood Star and Cosmopolitan Pink and the leaves in Caribbean Turquoise. I stamped the floral cluster on the bottom and left border of the panel. I then ink blended Caribbean Turquoise on the bottom of the panel and Lemon Drop on the top of the panel.

TT1028 1 CU2 WM

I stamped one butterfly in Lemon Drop and filled it with the patterns in Arctic Sky and Caribbean Turquoise. I fussy cut the butterfly and glued it on the main panel as shown in the picture. I also stamped another butterfly in Hollywood Star and heat embossed the inner pattern in Rose Gold. I cut the butterfly and set it aside.

TT1028 1 CU1 WM

I adhered the main panel on a white cardbase and added the Garden Foliage Coverplate to it. The sentiment is from Transformation set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of white cardstock , ink blended it in Hollywood Star and Cosmopolitan Pink and cut it in a banner.

I adhered the pink butterfly next to the sentiment and finished off the card by scattering some Glass Slippers sequins.

TT1028 1 3 WM

The second card is featuring our washi tapes and butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies 1 stamp set.

TT1028 2 1 wM

I started off by making the background panel using Pink Peonies washi tape. I adhered it on a white cardstock panel and added white gesso on the center of it. I then stamped the “hugs” in Hollywood Star using Brushed Hugs stamp set. I heat embossed the upper half of the letters in Rose Gold. I cut it using the coordinating die and set it aside.

TT1028 2 CU1 WM

I cut the small floral elements from the Pink Peonies washi tape and wildflowers washi tape which I adhered on some white cardstock. The little butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies 1 stamp set were heat embossed in Rose Gold and then ink blended in Soft Garnet.  I cut them using the coordinating dies (now we have the coordinating cut files in the shop!).

TT1028 2 CU2 WM

I cut the panel with the Pink Peonies washi tape using a Double Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it on a pink cardbase. I foam mounted the words and arranged the flowers and butterflies as shown in the picture. I finished off the card with a few clear dew drops.

TT1028 2 3 WM

I like the texture which the white gesso adds to the background. It also toned down the pattern in the background!

That’s it from my side today! I hope you enjoyed a little break from making holiday cards  🙂 !

Wishing you all a happy and crafty week!

Dry Embossing using Dies – featuring Washi Tapes

Hello and welcome to The Season! Hope your week is off to a great start!

It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of cards I made using our new floral washi tapes. I love love love the floral washi tapes!!! They are beautiful and you have endless possibilities to use them to embellish your projects! I cut out the floral images of the washi tapes and used them like die cut floral elements for both of my cards today. I created the background for the beautiful floral elements by dry embossing the panel using dies.

The first card is featuring Pink Peonies washi tape.

TT0318 2 1 WM new

I adhered the Pink Peonies washi tape on a white cardstock and fussy cut the floral clusters from it. I set them aside and started making the background panel.

Tt0318 2 CU2 WMx

To create the background I dry embossed a white A2 sized panel using Geo Mountain Coverplate die B. I then applied an embossing ink on the half of the panel and sprinkled Rose Gold embossing powder on the panel and heat set it.

Tt0318 2 CU4 WMx

I die cut the sentiment using Bold Amazing Greeting Word plate die and Sweetheart Word plate die from white cardstock. I heat embossed the upper part of “fabulous” in Rose Gold and foam mounted the letters on the background panel. I then arranged the small flowers and leaves from Pink Peonies washi tape around the letters and added “you’re” die cut, stacked three times, on the “fabulous”. I went over the “you’re” die cut with a clear glitter pen to add more shine.

The second card is showcasing Wildflowers washi tape.

TT0318 1 1 WMx

Here again I adhered the Wildflowers washi tape on a white cardstock and fussy cut the floral images. The background panel is a shimmer cardstock. I dry embossed it using Double Stitched Circle dies. I also cut a circle frame using two of the Double Stitched Circle dies from a dark gray cardstock as a base of my wreath.

Tt0318 1 CU2 WMx

I adhered the dry embossed background panel on a gray cardbase and foam mounted the dark gray frame on it. I then arranged the floral elements I cut from the Wildflowers washi tape in a wreath on the circle frame.

TT0318 1 CU5 WMx

The sentiment is from Painted Peonies set. I white heat embossed it on a circle vellum piece. I adhered the vellum on a gray circle and foam mounted it on the center of the card. I finished off the card by scattering some Glass Slippers Round Confetti.

Dry embossing with dies adds interesting texture on your background!

That’s it from my side today! Hope I was able to inspire you with my cards :)!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a wonderful week!

Wildflowers Washi Tape

Hi peeps! Yay for Friday. Vera here to bring some more washi tape inspiration. What can I say, I just love playing with them. Who doesn’t love playing with pretty things, right?

Today I am showcasing Wildflowers washi tape.

IMG2842
For my 1st card, I adhere the washi tape to a piece of soft green cardstock. The beauty of washi tape, you can change its look by the base color you used. Then I die cut the wishes sentiment on the panel using Bold General Greeting Word Plate diesThen, die cut the sweet sentiment from Sweetheart World Plate dies set. Adhere panel to the crd base.

Die cut the wishes sentiment 3 more times from white cardstock to layer the sentiment to make it stand out from the rest of the panel. Die cut sweet sentiment again from gold foil cardstock and adhere to the card. Finish by stamping, heat embossed & die cut a butterfly using Beautiful Butterflies 1 set (adhere it with foam adhesive).

Now, on to the 2nd card. I was inspired by Effie’s card during the release (you can see the post  HERE)

IMG2843
I adhere the washi tape to a piece of  cardstockand then fussy cut it. Before adhering it to the card base, I blended some Rose Quartz ink to the card base. Then I partially ink up the Mini Hearts Cling Background stamp and stamped the corner of the card for a bit of accent. Adhere the cut out, stamp the sentiment from Dearest Peony set and finished by adding some Rose Champagne Sparkle sequins mix.

Well peeps, that’s all from me today. It’s been a pretty crazy hectic week for me, so I sure am looking forward to a quiet weekend to just chill with the doggies. Hope you enjoy today’s inspiration. Have a fabulous weekend everyone! Cheerrrssss……
