Hello, crafty friends! Hope your week started off stress free! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of cards that I made using Vintage Type and Charmed Wildflower stamp sets from our 5th Anniversary Release! Have you enjoyed our release blog hop and the Instagram hops and found some favorites from our new release? I love the layering typewriter. It’s so unique! Let’s take a look at my first card!
I stamped the typewriter from Vintage Type in Valentine Red, Spiced Chai, Crystal Pewter and Light Onyx. It’s very easy to layer. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on the paper of the typewriter image. I then fussy cut it and set it aside. You can use the coordinating cut file to cut the image.
I had a frame from a YUPO panel I colored using alcohol inks in Watermelon, Poppyfield and Gold Mixative. To add some more interest to the card I ink blended Valentine Red and Spiced Chai on a white cardbase and splattered black and gold watercolor on it.
I mounted the red frame on the prepared cardbase using some foam adhesives and added the type writer on it. For some shine and sparkle I covered the typewriter with glitter using a clear glitter pen and the keys using Glossy Accents. I finished off the card with some Medallion Gold sequins.
The second card is featuring Charmed Wildflower stamp set. As I didn’t get the stamp set at that time I worked with a digital version of it. I printed it on some Neenah solar white paper and cut it with ScanNCut. You could use the coordinating cut file to cut the image.
I colored the pretty floral cluster with Copic markers. I used R20, 22, 46 and 89 for the large flower and RV10, 11 and 14 for the morning glories. The leaves were colored in warm gray colors and E00, 31, 33 and 35. Then I added details using Polychromos colored pencils to the image. After the coloring was completed, I foiled the outline in gold.
For the background I used the YUPO panel I mentioned above. I cut the A2 sized alcohol inked YUPO using four dies from the Double Stitched Rectangle dies. I used a frame from the cut panel for the first card. I foam mounted the largest frame on a white cardbase and adhered the rest flat on it. I also cut a smaller frame from some white cardstock to fill the gap of the missing frame. The image was adhered on the card and the sentiment from Lean Back stamp set was foam mounted on it. Some Medallion Gold sequins were my finishing touch for this card as well.
Hope you enjoyed looking my cards today!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
