Good morning, Jess here with some fun ways of using gemstones and beads from the new Gilding Release to brighten up your planner! My first project uses exactly three supplies: an oversized paperclip, E6000 permanent adhesive, and a gorgeous crystal embellishment!
To create this planner clip I literally just put a dollop of E6000 glue on the back of the crystal embellishment, placed the top of the paperclip in the middle of the glue, and let it dry. Once it was dry to the touch (about an hour later) I added a little more glue and then pressed a round gemstone onto the back of the crystal embellishment to give it a more finished look!
It’s bright and sparkly and the perfect way to mark my daily pages in my planner. That glue is super secure and those gems aren’t going anywhere!
And then for my second project I wanted to make a charm for my planner using some of the smaller seed and bugle beads. I apologize because I didn’t think to take a photo of the process but I’ll try to explain it…I used to make these circle bracelets as friendship bracelets in middle school and I was surprised how fast it came back to me!
I started off by stringing a seed bead onto a piece of monofilament and then brought the ends together and strung it through a teardrop-shaped crystal. Then I strung a bugle bead onto one strand of the monofilament and then ran the other strand of monofilament through the opposite side of the bead to create a circle. Then I strung 5 gold beads onto each strand and repeated the process of closing the circle with another bugle bead. I created 5 circles with seed beads moving from gold to pink to peach. I was very inspired by Ruby’s shaker card from earlier this week and wanted to use that beautiful ombre color scheme!
So those are my projects! Nothing too difficult but they both do a lot to add some sparkle to my daily routine! Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
In addition to our new gilding, we are also happy to announce the addition of three dies into our collection! We now have coordinating dies for our Fresh Cut Peonies, Simple Florals and our Panda Can’t Even stamp sets. We’ve had a lot of inquiries from our customers in the last few months about matching dies and we’re finally able to add them into our product selection!
So let’s get on with our Gilding Release! We have five new couture mixes: Pink Party, Mint Julep, Ocean Breeze, Flamenco Sunset and Watermelon Cooler.
All of our new mixes have some type of confetti in it (variety of mini stars or heart confetti) to make it easy for you to add some bling or sparkle to your projects.
Speaking of mini stars, we’ve also added 12 different colors of mini stars to our confetti line. You can find them here.
Next up we have 14 new gems which you can use on your papercrafts to bring the mama of all sparkle to your projects! These gems range in sizes, shapes and color. They come in 13 – 20 packs. We also have an assortment pack of these gems if you want to sample them before buying individual packs. The assortment pack also has an exclusive large pink heart gemstone that is not sold individually and can only be found in this mixed pack. In addition to gems, we’ve added rhinestones in five different colors: yellow gold, silver, black, light blue and light green. They’re sold in packages of 1.5 teaspoons each and can be found in our gem section.
Next, we added over 20 crystal embellishments. If you want to take your card making to the next level, you can with our new line. Check out our fabulous design team’s projects below to see what they created with these crystal pretties!
Our last addition is the wide variety of seed and bugle beads we’ve added to our collection and now you can take your shaker cards to the next level!
Check out what our design team has created below for some inspiration on how to use our new gilding additions. You can find additional details on each of their personal blogs which are link below.
Mayline created matching cards with her crystal embellishments and our Simple Florals and Wild Peonies sets. She kept it simple yet striking with her bold black lined images and star ribbon. We love it! Check out her blog for more details on how she made this gorgeous card.
Here are some close ups of her work.
And if this is not enough, Mayline created an awesome video clip showing how much these embellishments shine!
Next up, Ruby framed her embellishment to make it the sole focus on this soft and pretty card! This is a perfect card you can give to your significant other!
Jess channels the feel of Tiffany’s with this card using our Wild Peonies set and one our Flourish crystal embellishments. Love the colors in this one and it makes a beautiful wedding or shower card!
Next, Ruby created this beautiful ombre shaker with our new seed beads! She used our Wild Peonies and It’s Cray Cray sets for this card. Check out each design team member’s blog for their top 5 beads!
Jess recreated one of her earlier cards (a card that stole my heart!) with a mix of our diamond stamp sets (Heart, Round, Princess), new beads and gems!
Mayline created this adorable card where she put some great color contrasting beads in prepackages. She made her own textured background with some seed beads!
Jess created a gorgeous floral arrangement with our Simple Florals set (which now has coordinating dies!) and created stamens and a fun background with our new beads!
Ruby also created a fun floral arrangement with our Simple Florals and made a cute little shaker! Doesn’t her card look like a garden?
Her next card is colorful and inventive as she filled each shaker with coordinating beads to the background colors. Here, she used our Friggin Fabulous set!
Here is a closeup of one of my cards that I created with our Round Diamonds set. Our new rhinestones compliment our gem sets so well! A video where I create this card is coming soon!
Here is another card that I made with our Vintage Frames set (I’m kicking it back old school here with our first release stamps!). I fill the insides of the frames with a ton of mini stars in Sky Blue and Gold and adhered a light blue heart gem to the last frame. This card has a lot of depth and dimension! A video of this card will also be uploaded soon!
Thank you all for joining us today! I hope you enjoyed our Mid Summer Gilding release and were inspired by our design team’s wonderful projects!!
