Pocket Shaker Holiday Card

Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a pocket shaker holiday card! I used one of the four A2 images from the Jolly Season Large Stencils for the background of my pocket shaker card.

A pocket shaker card is easier to make than a usual shaker card, as you don’t need to make a window nor the wall for the shaker elements.

To start I stenciled the part of the Jolly Season Large Stencils that I wanted. You could stencil a whole letter sized panel to get four images using the large stencil set or you could choose one image for an A2 sized panel like I did for this card!

To stencil the image with a festive all-over pattern I used Coralline hybrid ink, Cherry, Lipstick Red, Bright Emerald and Hot Tourmaline. When I stenciled the dark green area of the greenery I covered the other part of the stencil #3, which I stenciled in Cherry.

I cut a clear sheet slightly larger than A2 size and folded the excessive edges to attach the folded edge on the back of the stenciled panel.

First I attached three sides of the panel with the clear sheet to make a pocket and poured the shaker elements into the opening. As the shaker elements I used the Smoked Emerald Sparkling Clear sequins, Cosmic Mauve Couture Mix and some red and silver star confetti. Lastly I closed the opening of the pocket.

The sentiment is from the Bold Fill In Holiday set. I stamped “SENDING” in Lipstick red and filled the blank space with the “CHRISTMAS CHEER” by heat embossing it in silver. I then cut the sentiment using the coordinating die and added it to the card slightly tilted using foam tape.

This is the last post from me in this year! I’m so grateful for your love and support throughout the year!

Wishing you all a happy holiday season and a new year filled with love and happiness!

Sending you crafty hugs,

TaeEun

Tis the Season

Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a holiday card in the traditional color scheme – red & green. Today’s card features the Poinsettia Wreath Stencils and the coordinating dies.

To start I stenciled the Poinsettia Wreath in dark red and dark green on a Neenah solar white panel. For the red poinsettia I chose Lipstick Red, Wine and Grape Crush and for the green part Everglade Moss and Light Onyx

After the stenciling was done I cut the Poinsettia Wreath using the coordinating die. The die set has two dies, one for the outer line and one for the inner outline. I cut only the outer line and stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Wreath stamp set on the center of the wreath in Noir. The Poinsettia Wreath die from a previous release coordinates with the stencil set, but the stamp set does NOT !

For a festive look I pulled out a red cardbase and made the perimeter of the front darker by ink blending the area in Lipstick Red and Wine. I then splattered white opaque ink and foam mounted the Poinsettia Wreath on it.

To finish off I added some Red Gems on the center of the poinsettias and on the background.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed looking my card!

Wishing you all a great week!

Fairest Peonies Cluster Stencils

Hi everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a peony card. I made a nearly one layer card using the Fairest Peonies Cluster stencils

To start I stenciled the peony flowers from the Fairest Peonies Cluster set in Whisper Pink, Bubblegum, Dolled Up and Deep Peony. I added a bit of orange to the pink flowers using Peach Blossom and Coraline Hybrid ink. The stamen were stenciled in Amber Citrine and the leaves in Meadow and Spring Salad

After the stenciling was done I colored the background around the image using C0, C1, C3 and C5 Copic markers and cut the panel using the Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested Die. To add some interest to the background I masked the top and right side of the panel and ink blended Cali Blue very lightly on the corner. I then adhered the finished panel on a white cardbase.

The sentiment was cut using the Script Word die. I cut three “hugs” from some white cardstock, ink blended a piece of white cardstock in pink and cut one more “hugs” from it to use it as the top layer of the sentiment. The shadow layer was cut from some vellum.

To finish off I scattered a few Soft Pink Gems on the card.

That’s it from me for today!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed looking my card!

Wishing you all a great week!

Daisy Duet

Hello! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here sharing a daisy congratulations card.

For my card I used the new Daisy Duet stencils from the Fall / Holiday 2022 Release combining it with the coordinating die of the Daisy Duet stamp set.

To start I stenciled the Daisy Duet directly on a white cardbase in pink and gray. For the daisies I used the Whisper Pink, Bubblegum, Dolled Up and Deep Peony. The center of the flowers were stenciled in Amber Citrine, Warm Hazelnut and Found Topaz and for the leaves I used Stormy Sea and added a bit of Periwinkle on the base of the leaves.

After I was done with stenciling I placed the coordinating die on the stenciled image, held an A2 sized beige cardsock panel underneath the cardbase, taped the die and the beige panel together and pulled out the cardbase with the stenciled image. So I could align the die on the beige panel with the stenciled image of the cardbase.

After die cutting I dry embossed the negative die cut pieces using the Convention coverplate die for some dimension and foam mounted them on the card.

I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Daisy Duet stamp set on some black cardstock, cut it into a banner and added it to the card. I finished off the card with a few Glass Slippers sequins.

That’s it from me! Hope you like how I made my card. I think it is a fun way to add colors and texture to the background!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Holiday Bells Large Stencils 2

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a holiday shaker card.

Last week I shared a couple of holiday cards featuring the stenciled images from the Holiday Bells Large Stencils. For today’s card I used one of the four stenciled images from the set and made a shaker card. I thought the image with the rectangle window is perfect for a shaker card.

I stenciled the pine needles and holy leaves in Meadow and Spring Salad and the stem in Found Topaz. The berries were stenciled in Lipstick Red and Pink Derby

There are two coordinating dies for this image, one is for the rectangle window and the other one is a detailed die which cuts the stenciled image. I used only the die for the window and adhered a clear acetate sheet on the back of the window.

To create a wintery scene for the shaker part I chose a dark green cardbase.

I cut the pine trees using the Pine Tree Cover Die, ink blended the edge of the die cut trees in green and adhered five of them on the cardbase, some flat and the rest using foam tape. I then splattered white opaque ink on the background and let it dry.

I adhered some Fern Green Rhinestones on the background for some bling and added clear glitter and Deck the Halls Couture Mix as shaker elements. The front panel was added to the card with two layers of foam tape.

On the window I added a deer which was cut using the Deer Cover die and ink blended in light brown. The sentiment from the Bold Fill In Holiday was white heat embossed on a strip of dark green cardstock.

I already shared a card made using the fourth stenciled image from the Holiday Bells Large Stencils on my personal blog. So here are the quartet I made using the Holiday Bells Large Stencils together.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope I was able to inspire you to make some stenciled holiday cards 🙂 !

Holiday Bells Large Stencils

Hello and happy Friday everyone!!! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of holiday cards which I made using the new Holiday Bells Large Stencils from our latest Fall / Holiday Release. Two 9”x 12” holiday themed stencil sets were debuted. Each of them includes four A2 sized images. The other one is called Jolly Season Large Stencils which I showcased on a previous post

I turned two of the stenciled images into holiday cards.

The images were stenciled in the same color scheme. The bells and the candles were stenciled in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Beach Blondie and Amber Citrine, the Berries, bows and the poinsettia in Lipstick Red, Pink Derby and Wine, the greenery in Meadow and Spring Salad and the branch in Found Topaz.

After the stenciling was done I cut the images using the coordinating die.

The first one is showing the stenciled panel with three bells hanging on a pine branch.

I stenciled the Pine needles on a Kraft cardbase in Meadow and Everglade Moss and foam mounted the stenciled die cut image on it. Next I splattered white opaque ink on the whole card front and let it dry.

I adhered Metallic Gold Dew Drops on the bells and Red Gems on the bows.

The sentiment is from Ribbons Holiday stamp set which I partly heat embossed in gold and partly stamped in Basil Mojito. The sentiment was cut with the coordinating die and added to the card using foam tape. The small “HAPPY” was stamped in Noir on a white banner.

Next card is featuring the stenciled image of the candles on a poinsettia arrangement.

I ink blended the bottom part of a dark red cardbase in Pink Derby and Wine to make the area even more darker and splattered white opaque ink on it. I then added the stenciled image with some white die cut Pine Sprigs to the card using foam tape.

The sentiment is from Easy Expressions Hanukkah set which is partly heat embossed in gold and stamped in Noir

I finished off this card with a few Red Gems and by covering the flames with Crystal Stickles.

That’s it from me for today! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards 🙂 !

Thank you so much for stopping by !

Coming Up Iris – watercolored

Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a watercolored floral card. I watercolored the bearded iris flowers from the Coming Up Iris stamp set from our latest release. If you prefer a faster and effective coloring, you can use the Climbing Iris Layering Stencil set which coordinates with the Coming Up Iris !

I stamped the Coming Up Iris image in Soft Cream ink on a Bristol smooth paper panel and watercolored it. I colored the upper part of the flowers in pink, coral and orange and the lower petals in violet and orange. I worked in several layers. After done with watercoloring I added details to the petals using Polychromos colored pencils. After that I cut the Coming Up Iris image using the Climbing Iris coordinating die and set it aside.

I die cut the negative piece which was left from the colored panel using the Quilted A2 die to use it for my background.

I ink blended a white cardbase in Iris Blooms and Violet Fringe, splattered white opaque ink and let it dry. On the prepared cardbase I adhered the left side of the die cut negative panel and foam mounted the watercolored flower image.

The sentiment from the Coming Up Iris set was stamped in Violet Fringe and die cut using the Climbing Iris coordinating die . To add some bling I scattered a few Dark Purple Opaque rhinestones

That’s it from me for today! I had lots of fun watercoloring the beautiful Coming Up Iris image. I hope you got some inspiration from my card and try some coloring for your next project!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Jolly Season Large Stencils

Hello and Happy Friday everyone!!! It’s TaeEun here today with a set of holiday cards which I made using the new Jolly Season Large Stencils from our Fall / Holiday Release. Have you checked out the new Release with lots of new layering stencils and stamps? There are two 9”x 12” holiday themed stencil sets. Each of them includes four A2 sized images.

For today’s post I pulled out the Jolly Season Large Stencils. I love the cheerful and cute design of them with stars, ornaments, gift boxes, garlands and greenery.

I turned all four stenciled panels into holiday cards. I already shared one of them on my blog for the Fall / Holiday Release day. Today I’ll show you the rest of the quartet.

I stenciled the four piece stencil set in BubblegumCali Blue, Iris BloomsHot Tourmaline and Basil Mojito on a letter sized white cardstock. After the stenciling was done I cut the panel into four A2 sized pieces.

For the first card I used the border image with small ornaments, garlands, stars and some greenery. I cut the panel using the coordinating die and foam mounted the die cut piece on a pink cardbase – the coordinating die cuts the panel into one large piece and a single star.

To make the foiled sentiment I first die cut a white cardstock piece using the Ho Ho Ho coordinating die and stenciled Ho Ho Ho on it using the Foil transfer gel. I made two pieces as I made one more card with that sentiment. I let the panel dry for a day and foiled it in pink using a laminator. The other one for the card below was foiled in silver.

I added the sentiment to the card with two layers of foam tape and scattered a few Soft Pink Gems on the card to finish off.

The stenciled panel with two large ornaments and some greenery on the border was also die cut using the coordinating die.  For this panel I chose a teal cardbase. Before I foam mounted the die cut piece, I splattered white ink on the cardbase for a snowy look. Here I used the silver foiled Ho Ho Ho sentiment and the Dark Teal Gems.

For the next card I used the overall patterned panel. This panel has also a coordinating die. But for my card I didn’t use it. Instead I cut a frame using the Double Pierced Ornate Nested die set from the panel and raised the frame with foam tape.

The sentiment for this card is from the Bold Fill In Holiday set. I stamped the “SENDING” in Violet Fringe and silver heat embossed the thin sentiment to fill in.

The sentiment was die cut using the coordinating die and added to the card with dimension. To embellish this card I used the White Gems.

The white and dark teal gems will be released later! I couldn’t resist to use them for my cards as they fit perfectly 🙂 .

As I mentioned above, you can find all the details about the fourth card with Ribbons Merry sentiment on my blog

That’s it from me for today. Using the large stencil sets you get four different A2 panels with one working process ! Of course you can use only one part of the stencils if you want to have a specific image. It’s up to you!

Thank you so much for stopping by ! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards!

Have a crafty weekend!

Coming Up Poppies Slimline Card

Hello, everyone! It’s TaeEun here today with a slimline Thanks card. I watercolored the Gorgeous bloom of the Coming Up Poppies set with a twist of a partially inverted coloring.

To start I stamped the Coming Up Poppies two times on a slimline sized watercolor paper panel in Caviar hybrid ink which is watercolor friendly. Next I cut the panel using a small die from the Slimline Pierced Nested die set

I colored the poppies on the outer piece of the panel in red (Permanent Carmine by Schmincke) and the leaves, stems and buds in olive green.

I did negative watercoloring on the center piece. For a dramatic contrast I colored the background of it in dark purple (Imperial Purple and Moon Glow by Daniel Smith) and left the flowers uncolored.

The sentiment is also from the Coming Up Poppies set. I stamped it on the outer piece of the panel in Noir and adhered it on a white slimline cardbase. The central piece was then added using foam tape.

I finished off the card by adding some Blue Black Opaque Rhinestones.

That’s it from me for today! Hope you enjoyed looking my card!

Thank you for stopping by!

Pretty Pansies Background

Hello everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! It’s TaeEun here today with a pansy card!

I used the Pretty Pansies Background layering stencil set for this card. This set with a coordinating die was debuted at Summer 2022 Release along with other Pansy stencil set : Bright Pansies Clusters Layering stencils, which I showed at the Summer 2022 Release. The Pretty Pansies Background layering stencil set has four stencil layers and you can create a pansy field in two different color tones.

The ink colors I used to stencil the Pretty Pansies Background layering stencil set are listed below.

Flowers:

Leaves: Meadow

I cut the stenciled panel using the largest die from the Double Pierced Nested Rectangles die set and adhered it on a white cardbase.

I cut a rectangle frame using the Double Pierced Nested Rectangles die set, ink blended it in Soft Amethyst and foam mounted it on the card slightly tilted.

I cut the sentiment from some white cardstock using the Script Hugs die two times and stacked them. I added the die cut sentiment using foam adhesives and scattered some Dark Purple Opaque rhinestones to finish off the card.

That’s it from me for today! Hope you enjoyed looking my card!

Thank you for stopping by!
