Climbing Cosmos Stencils

Hello and Happy Friday, everyone! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a slimline card featuring Climbing Cosmos Layering Stencil set from the latest release. This layering stencil set coordinates with the Coming Up Cosmos stamp and die sets. I combined the flowers with the Slimline Fractured die cut background.

I started by stamping the Coming Up Cosmos image two times on Neenah Solar White cardstock in Noir. I colored the images using the Climbing Cosmos layering stencil set. I wanted to have cosmos flowers in violet and light blue. The first layer of the flowers were stenciled in Cali Blue and Soft Amethyst, the second layer in Azurite and Iris Blooms and the third layer in Violet Fringe. The center of the flowers were colored in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake and Amber Citrine. For the stem and leaves I used Everglade Moss. After stenciling was done I cut the images with the coordinating die and set them aside.

To create the background I first watercolored a slimline sized Mixed Media paper panel in Cerulean Blue and Orchid Color Burst powder. I then cut the panel using the Slimline Fractured Coverplate die. I cut three more Slimline Fractured coverplate pieces from some white cardstock and layered them. I adhered the watercolored Slimline Fractured coverplate die cut piece on the white ones and added it to a white slimline cardbase. I then inlayed the inner pieces from the watercolored panel. Next I splattered black ink on the background panel and let it dry.

The stenciled Coming Up Cosmos images were added to the background and the excessive parts were cut off.

The sentiment from Ribbons General set was stamped in Iris Blooms and Violet Fringe and cut with the coordinating die. For some dimension I adhered the sentiment with two layers of foam adhesive.

I finished off the card with a few Light Purple opaque Rhinestones.

That’s it from me ! Hope you’ve got some inspiration from my card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a lovely weekend!

Winter Wishes

Hello everyone! Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! It’s TaeEun here today with a winter wish slimline card. I made it using some of our winter themed die sets!

To create a wintery scene I made a watercolored background panel first. I did watercolor wash on a slimline sized mixed media paper panel in green, indigo, blue violet and blue. I left the bottom quarter of the panel uncolored which represents a snow covered hill. I sprayed pearl water on the panel to add some shimmer to it. After the panel was dry I splattered clear water to add some texture.

I cut the finished background panel using the Slimline Dot coverplate die and adhered it on a white slimline cardbase.

Next I cut a few pine trees and deers from some watercolor paper using Pine Tree Cover die and Deer Cover die. I arranged some pine trees on the snowy hill of my card and added three deers which I watercolored in brown.

The sentiment is from Wonderland Print stamp set. I finished off the card with a few Glass Slippers Round Confetti!

That’s it from me today! Hope you like my wintery scenic slimline card!

Enjoy the last days of 2021! Wishing you all the best for the New Year!

Merry Christmas !

Merry Christmas everyone!  Hope you’re enjoying a relaxing holiday with your loved ones today! It’s TaeEun here and of course I’ve made a Christmas card for today’s post 🙂 !

I used our holiday die collection. This card was made without any stamping!

I started off by ink blending the slimline background. First I applied Lemon Drop lightly in the middle of the panel in an arch shape and kept going with Coraline Hybrid, Hollywood Star, Plum Wine, Iris Blooms and True Navy towards the upper border of the panel. After ink blending was done I splattered white opaque ink on it and let it dry. I then cut the panel using the largest die from Slimline Pierced Nested die set and foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase.

Next I die cut all the holiday themed elements; Santa’s Sleigh, Merry Christmas and the Pine Trees from some heavyweight white cardstock. I cut the  Santa’s Sleigh two times and layered them. The Merry Christmas sentiment was cut one more time from a panel on which I ink blended in the same colors I used for the background panel. I adhered Glossy Fine Transparent adhesive glitter paper on it before I cut the sentiment.

I adhered the pine trees first on the background, some of them using foam tape and then the sentiment was added to it. To add the  Santa’s Sleigh I doubled the foam tape for more dimension. I decorated the trees with Crystal Stickles and some Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins and the card was finished !

That was my last post for the year of 2020!

Thank you so much for your love and support this year! Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and happy new year, hopefully more normal than 2020!

Slimline Christmas Card

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a slimline Christmas card! Are you enjoying our new slimline dies? I love the versatility !

My card is featuring the Slimline Dot Coverplate die. I wanted to make a snowy background for my wintery poinsettia cluster!

I started off by stamping and die cut all the floral elements using Poinsettia Wishes and Winter Foliage grouped layering stamp and die sets.

The ink colors I used are listed below.

To create the background I ink blended a slimline sized panel in Violet Fringe, Soft Amethyst, Cobalt Breeze and Soft Garnet. I left the bottom part white. I then cut the panel using the Slimline Dot Coverplate die and foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase.

I cut the white frame using the Slimline Simple Nested dies and added it to the card using some foam tape. I then arranged the poinsettias and winter foliage on it as shown in the picture.

The sentiment is from Easy Expressions Holiday set. I gold heat embossed the scripty part and stamped the rest in Noir. I cut it using the coordinating die

What do you think of the purple-blue-pink combo for a holiday card? I like it 🙂 ! Hope you enjoyed looking my card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Slimline Floral Birthday

Hi peeps! Vera here today. Let’s start this week with flower inspiration, shall we?

I am super happy with my card today. When I saw the slimline dies sneak peek, the dainty Scalloped Nested Dies definitely caught my attention right away. Dainty scallop is one of my favorite, whether it’s a border or frame, in my book it just make any design sweeter.

To start, I used the Scalloped Nested Dies on a piece of gray cardtock. Next, I used the Grid Coverpate Dies and trim it to fit inside the scalloped frame. Adhere both panels to card base.

Next, I stamped (with Caviar ink), colored and diecut the lilies from Coming Up Lilies. Still love this set to this day. I added some metallic watercolor to it and it has really pretty shimmer. Under good lighting you can really see it, but on normal light, it’s very subtle.

I finished the card by adding sentiment using Easy Expressions Birthday stamped in Noir and Hot Tourmaline.

So, are you into long cards? I have randomly making them here and there, but seems like right now it’s really the trend. I do enjoy the break of creating with longer space as I always believe in creativity changes or trying something different is a good way to expand our creativity.

Well peeps, that’s all from me today. May your week starts off wonderfully. Cheers…

Vera

More Slimline Inspiration

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a couple of slimline Thanks cards featuring some of our new goodies 🙂 ! Have you enjoyed our Slimline Die Release last week?  14 diverse Slimline die designs were introduced. From basic shapes to unique  Coverplate there are a variety of die sets from which you can choose!

Without further ado, let’s take a look at my cards!

The first one is featuring Slimline Long Stripes and Short Stripes coverplate dies along with our grouped layering pumpkin stamp sets.

I stamped and cut all the pumpkins and mixed them up to make the stack of pumpkins. The stamp sets used are  Ella PumpkinsRound PumpkinsButternut Squash and Thankful Gourds.

The ink colors I used are listed below.

Ella Pumpkins and Round Pumpkins:  Vanilla Frosted CupcakeBeach Blondie and Amber Citrine for the lightest pumpkins / Amber CitrinePeach Blossom and Coralline hybrid for the middle shaded pumpkins / Peach BlossomCoralline hybrid and Coral Cavern for the darkest pumpkins

I also arranged the leaves and tendrils from Thankful Gourds set. I secured the leafy arrangement and the stack of pumpkins using a piece of Press’n Seal wrap and set it  aside.

To create the woven background I watercolored two Canson Mixed Media paper panel in brown and gold in an ombre fashion. I then cut one of them using the Long Stripes slimline die and the other one using the Short Stripes Slimline die. I cut the bottom end of the long striped panel and started to weave the long stripes through the short striped panel. After that I mounted the woven panel flat on a white cardbase.

The stack of the pumpkins were added to the card using some foam tape and the leafy arrangement using liquid glue to the upper left corner of the card. The sentiment is from Easy Expressions: Thanks set which was heat embossed in Liquid Platinum and white on some black cardstock. I finished off the card with some sequins from Hot Cocoa Couture Mix

The second card is featuring Slimline Scalloped Nested dies. I was inspired by this video which Effie once has shared on our YouTube Channel. She used scraps to stamp small floral elements and made a pretty floral card using them.

I started off by gold heat embossing the small floral elements from Charmed Wildflowers set. I watercolored the images using Color Burst and cut them all using the coordinating dies

To create the pretty pink background I loosely watercolored a watercolor paper panel in Peony, Orchid and Cerulean blue Color Burst. After the panel was dry I cut it using the second largest Slimline Scalloped die. I also cut a white scalloped panel using the smallest die for my sentiment. As it was too long, I die cut one end again with the same die and heat embossed the sentiment from Poppy Wishes stamp set on it in Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

Now I started assembling the card. The scalloped background panel was foam mounted on a baby pink cardbase and the small scalloped panel with the sentiment on it. I then arranged the floral elements as shown in the picture, some of them were added using foam tape. To finish off I scattered Glass Slippers sequins.

That’s it from me for today! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Stay well and healthy!

Hugs,

TaeEun
