Hello, everyone! It’s Jenny here taking over the blog today! Have you seen our gorgeous October 2017 products? Oh my! I am so in love with the most beautiful floral images and super excited to showcase one of them on my project today! I chose Pretty Plumeria stamp set, because plumeria is very special flower to me. My husband and I had a small but beautiful wedding on the sands of Maui, so my bouquet was nothing but all Plumeria and my hair was decorated with tons of Plumeria as well. It truly brought back the happy memories while I was creating this project. 🙂
Let me show you the card!
I started off by stamping few images from the Pretty Plumeria stamp set on a watercolor cardstock in Versamark. I sprinkled Silver Pearl embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool. I stamped the main center Plumeria cluster first, heat set, and masked the image and added on the other smaller images. Masking was very minor, I just used small pieces of Post-it notes and didn’t even have to fussy cut. Then, I colored the image with Stabilo 68 pens. I blended out the pigments with Clear Sparkle pen instead of clear water for shimmer effect. When the coloring of the image was done, I added tiny bit of shadow on the flowers with Light Gray Zig marker. Also, I added blue background with Turquoise Green Zig maker. I let it dry completely.
Next, I die cut the panel down with the largest die from our Small Double Stitched Rectangle Dies and stamped the sentiment (borrowed from Summer Blooms stamp set) in Noir Dye ink. Then I added some natural color twine on the panel and popped it up on a mint color A2 sized top folding card base. I dressed up the card with some Dew Drops and my project was complete!
