Warm Floral Bouquet

Hello lovely peeps. Vera here. Hope this post goes up without a hitch as I have to schedule this post in advance. As this post goes up, I’d be exploring Spain with hubby. Spain been on my travel bucket list for a long time and am excited to finally able to visit this beautiful country.

For today’s card I am showing love for some older sets. That’s one of the thing I love about The Ton sets, so many of them are timeless. Whether they were released a year or 3 years ago, or longer, I find myself reaching out to older sets often. Here, I am using Precious Poppies Layering Stencil and Floral Bits 2.

I start by inking up Precious Poppies stencil with Coralline, Coral Cavern, Aspen Cocoa and Ocean Teal. Once done, I die cut the piece using Precious Poppies Coordinating Die. Put aside. Next, I worked on the background panel. For the panel, I used Quilted A2 Coverplate die. I love the dainty dots and the tiny hearts on this panel. Adhere the panel to card base. Next, I adhere the poppies. Once I done that I feel like the card still missing something. So, after looking around, I decided to add a couple flowers from Floral Bits 2. I stamped the flower using Dolled Up & Deep Peony. Finished by adding sentiment from Rose Labels set.

I tend to use soft colors, but am pretty excited at the way this card turned out with its warm colors. Hope you enjoy today’s card and I wish you a wonderful week. Happy Monday all.

Poppies Love

Hi everyone. Vera here with poppies card. I’ll always remember the time I saw poppies for the first time in my life and I was completely mesmerize by it’s beauty. Since then, it has become one of my favorite flowers.

The Ton has several beautiful poppies set, but for today, am playing with Precious Poppies Layering Stencil set. Adding color with just ink blending makes stencil one of my favorite way to make cards nowadays. For the poppies I used Dolled Up, Coralline, Coral Cavern, Matcha and Aspen Cocoa. At first, I ink blending Coralline on the poppies base, followed by Coralline & Coral Cavern, but then am not quite satisfied with the colors, so I went back to the first layer and blend in Dolled Up on top. It’s okay to change your mind and added more color even after you finish the layering. As long as you use color that you know won’t end up looking muddy, of course.

Then die cut the poppies with the coordinating Precious Poppies dies. To make it more stand out, I die cut a plain cardstock twice and layered it up with the colored poppies. For the background, I used my all time favorite background dies, Quilted A2 Coverplate Die. Adhere the panel to card base followed by the poppies. Then for sentiment I used one of the sentiment from Heartfelt Blossoms and finish by adding a couple birdies from Nesting Peonies set.

I love it when I get to combine several sets in one card. It always make me feel accomplished. LOL. Instant gratification. Well peeps, I hope you enjoy today’s card and I wish you all a wonderful day. Cheers.

Mega Smooch

Hello everyone! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a birthday card with you! I made a cool gold heat embossed background using the lips from Mega Smooch set for the stenciled Precious Poppies cluster

I started by stenciling the Precious Poppies in orange and brown. I chose the warm tones to match with the gold in the background. The poppies were stenciled in Peach Blossom, Coralline hybrid and Coral Cavern and the leaves in Warm Hazelnut and Found Topaz. There is one stencil for the leaves but I colored them in ombre using two colors. After the stenciling was done I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

To create the background I gold heat embossed the lips from the Mega Smooch set on a white cardbase and once again on a light brown cardstock.

I cut the light brown panel using a die from the Rectangle A2 Nested Die set and foam mounted it on the cardbase with the golden lips.

Next I placed the Precious Poppies on the right side of the card.

The sentiment is from the Easy Expressions Birthday set. It was partly gold heat embossed and stamped in Noir. I finished off the card with some Bright Gold Opaque Rhinestones.

That’s it from me for today! Hope you enjoyed looking my card!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Precious Poppies Layering Stencils

Hello and Happy Friday, everyone! It’s TaeEun here today with a Thank you card which is featuring the Precious Poppies Layering Stencils set from the latest release.

I stenciled the Precious Poppies two times on both sides of a A2 sized panel to get a floral border.

For the three layers of the poppy flowers I chose Cherry, Lipstick Red and Wine. There is one stencil for the leaves but I used two tones to stencil them, Evergreen and Everglade Moss. The center of the flowers were stenciled in Aspen Cocoa and Noir

I stenciled the Precious Poppies once on the edge of the right side of a A2 sized Neenah Solar white panel. After I cleaned the stencils I turned them over and stenciled the poppies one more time on the left edge of the panel to get the mirror image.

I  then colored the details of the branches using my Polcychromos colored pencils.

When I was done with the coloring I cut the oval frame from the colored panel using two dies from Double Pierced Oval Nested die set and ink blended Cherry on it very lightly.

After die cutting I adhered the negative pieces flat on a white cardbase and the oval frame using foam tape on the card. I then splattered gold watercolor on the card and let it dry.

The sentiment from the Easy Expressions Thanks set was heat embossed in Liquid Platinum and in white and cut with the coordinating die

I placed some white branches underneath the sentiment which were cut using the Leafy Bits coverplate die and finished off the card by scattering some Metallic Gold Dew Drops

That’s it from me ! Hope you enjoyed looking my card today!

Thanks a lot for stopping by!

Wishing you all a restful weekend!
