Shimmery Rainbow Hello

Hi peeps! How’s it going? Vera here. As promised, I m back with another fun project to share with you on this fine Monday.

The moment I saw the Geo Mountain Coverplates, I was like I must have this collection! Granted, my arm got quite an exercise running the dies (I know, I know I still have the old school Cuttlebug, haven’t upgrade to the fancy machine, yet), but oh it’s so worth it!

Here’s the proof. ūüôā

For this card I used the Geo Mountain Coverplate B. I could layer the pieces with the other plates, but after seeing this, I decided to keep the layer simple and stick to just this 1 layer. Next, I work on watercoloring the background. Once it dry, I adhere the die cut piece to the watercolor background & adhere them to the card base.

For the sentiment part, I combined a couple of the adhesive glitter paper with the hello from Bold General Greeting Word dies set. Adhere to the center of the card.

Then, I reached for an oldie but a goodies sets, the Mini Wild Floral¬†set & dies and¬†Pragmatic Wreath set &¬†dies). I inked the leaves with Blue Diamond and the flower with Peach Blossom. Added some shadow to the images with Copic and then arrange them on the card & voila…. a shimmery hello card that I sure hope will delight anyone who receive it.

Well peeps, I hope you have a gorgeous Memorial Day and let us remember the reason for this day, to honor all who serves in the military. To those who serve, thank you to you & your family for all that you do, for your sacrifices, your bravery. Have a blessed Memorial Day everyone.

Purple and Blue

Hello and happy Thursday, everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far! ¬†It’s TaeEun here today! I’m sharing a mermaid card decorated with some of our mini floral stamp sets. And I chose purple and blue as my main colors for today’s card.

I used Floral Banner Mini, Anemone Cluster Mini and Pragmatic Wreaths  for my card along with our newest stamp set Mermaid Vibes.

Let’s take a look at my card ūüôā !

To start off I heat embossed the Anemone Cluster Mini two times on the bottom part of my watercolor panel in Rose Gold. I masked them and heat embossed the mermaid on the center of the panel in Rose Gold as well. I then masked the mermaid to stamp the wreath from Pragmatic Wreaths in embossing ink. I heat embossed the wreath using Verdigris embossing powder and stamped the flowers in blue and purple using some Aquamarkers. I covered the upper area of the panel with a print paper while I was stamping the wreath. I like that the wreath looks like a swing :).

I heat embossed one more¬†Anemone Cluster Mini¬†and¬†Floral Banner Mini¬†on some extra watercolor paper in¬†Rose Gold. After all the stamping and heat embossing were done, I started coloring the images using Zig Brush markers. I didn’t go into the details while I was coloring and colored the images in a loose style. To blend the colors I used clear glitter pen, so it is very shimmery in real life. I stamped the sentiment on the¬†Floral Banner Mini¬†in Noir and die cut the banner using coordinating die. I die cut the extra¬†Anemone Cluster Mini¬†as well with its coordinating die.

I then started assembling my card. I narrowed down the front panel slightly and added thin strips of purple glitter tape on both sides, before I foam mounted it on a purple cardbase. I foam mounted the die cut Anemone Cluster Mini and the Floral Banner Mini onto the places. To finish off I added some mini clear sequins from Violet Sprinkle Couture Mix to the wreath.

I hope you enjoyed today’s floral mermaid card!
