Hi there. Vera here today to start your week with a Christmas inspiration. Just in case you start to work on your Christmas card stash. 🙂
For this card, I started by die-cutting the background. Creating a tone on tone background is one of my favorite way to create a subtle background that wouldn’t compete with the main image. Here, I used the Convention Coverplate die. Adhere the die cut piece to the card base. Next, stamped and heat embossed all three circles from Confetti Shapes Circle set with silver embossing powder and die cut them using Confetti Shapes Circle coordinating dies. Ink blend with various blue ink pads from The Ton collection. I say this, because here, I was too lazy to clean up my brushes before I started the ink blending and I just mix and match the blues anyway. Adhere all circles to card base, die cut the ornament top and add to the ornament. For the line, I just cut a strip of silver pearl paper. Next, I stamped and heat embossed the Poinsettias and berries from Jolly Border set. Colored them with Copic and add to the ornament.
To finish, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from This Year set. Here, I did trim the sentiment as I also want to show you how you can get more out of your stamp. Just by doing a little trimming you can get a whole different sentiment or look from your set. Nifty, right? So, how many Christmas cards do you usually make each year? Do you have to make a lot or just a little?
Well, whether you have to make a bunch or just a little, I hope you enjoy today’s inspiration. Remember all the new sets can be pre-ordered now and will be shipping on 9/22. Thank you all for stopping by here and I wish you all a good week.
