Hey everyone! I’m back with another holiday card using our Poinsettia Banner, Sentiment Jewelry and Brushed Merry sets. For this card, I stretched my Poinsettia Banner set by inlying using the floral section of the image stamp.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our Youtube Channel because I update it regularly with videos every week!

I started off by gold heat embossing the floral section of the Poinsettia Banner image onto the top and bottom edges of a horizontal A2 (4.25 x 5.5in) card panel. Next, I masked the florals and embossed the Sentiment Jewelry stamp across the top portion of the card “embellishing” my poinsettias.

Once the embossing was complete, I colored in my florals using Tombow Dual Tipped Brush Markers. Next I stamped the Brushed Merry and die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die. Before I popped up the merry onto the panel, I stamped the “Be” from the same set in our Noir Dye Ink and added stitching to the edges of the panel using our Double Stitched Large Rectangle Dies.

I popped up the Merry onto the panel with foam tape and embellished my card with Clear Rhinestones.

I loved stretching our Poinsettia Banner stamp for this project. I also really enjoyed breaking out my Sentiment Jewelry set to make this card fancy! I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video. Thanks for stopping by!

Hey everyone, Effie here again! I’m back with another card and video using our Poinsettia Banner set.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our Youtube Channel because I update it regularly with videos every week!

This is a wonderful set to have if you need to make a quick (and gorgeous) holiday card. Our Poinsettia Banner features a beautiful two and a half tiered banner/ribbon with festive holiday florals integrated into the banner. The set comes with two main sentiments (Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas) and additional add on sentiments that you can stamp in the middle tier. If you want to keep the card more simple, you can forgo stamping any of the add ons. **If you plan on stamping any of the smaller sentiments in that middle tier, make sure that the ribbon in the middle curves upward when you stamp as the sentiments are meant to stamp in that direction. If the middle ribbon is smiling upwards, you’re good to go. If you stamp the banner upside down (curving downwards), you’re going to have a difficult time stamping the coordinating sentiments in that middle section.

For my project I started off by gold heat embossing my large Poinsettia Banner on cardstock. Then I colored in the images using Tombow dual tip brush markers. These are waterbased inks that have the ability to blend. They are similar to zig markers but they do not have a real brush tip. Next, I made sure to add shading to my banner to give the image more depth. Once I finished coloring in the banner and florals, I stamped the sentiment using our Noir Dye Ink. Next I die cut the banner using the coordinating die.

Next I created a watercolored panel for my banner. I created a bright Turquoise (color burst) wash onto an A2 watercolor panel (Canson XL 140lb). I expedited the drying process with my heat gun. Then I splattered clean water drops onto the panel and lifted the color with a clean paper towel. Then I dried the panel once more and splattered some Prussian Blue color burst watercolor onto the panel creating additional texture.

I made sure to dry the panel once more before I popped up my banner onto the watercolored panel with dimensional foam tape. Next I adhered the entire panel onto a side folding A2 cardbase. Lastly, I added Clear Dew Drops (7mm and 5mm) for added interest to the card.  I hope you liked today’s project!

Thanks for stopping by and making The Ton a part of your day!
