Sending Peony Love

Hi peeps. Vera here. This week been a rough one for so many people and I keep reminding myself that we all need love in this world. And we can all start with the people around us. I feel like mailing an actual card, letter is a dying art. We really need to do it more. Sending out card just because, on our loved ones special day, on any day because more than ever we need to spread love. Show love. Share love.

For my card here, I used Peony Memories Cardmaking set. I stamped this beautiful set with Bubblegum, Soft Garnet, Deep Peony, Lemon Drop, Soft Garden, Meadow and Deep Emerald ink pad. Finished stamping, I die-cut them with the Coordinating Peony Memories Cardmaking dies. For the background, I stamped the flower from Bonny Blooms set with Bubblegum inkpad. Trim the panel and layered with gray cardstock before adhering them to the orange card base. Then arrange the peonies on the card and adhere with foam adhesive. Finished by stamping the sentiment and adhering some sequins.

I am definitely planning on getting my stash of cards out. I’ve been giving cards away to people at my church small group & will definitely keep spreading more love through my cards. May your weekend be a good one. Let us always be kind to one another. Cheers…

Roses & Peonies

Hi peeps. Can you believe it’s already the end of August? I feel like this year been fast and slow at the same time if that’s make any sense. It just been a really weird year.

Any way. this past weekend I was in such a crafting mood and ended up with 2 cards for my post today. Yay for me. 🙂

Here’s my 1st card.

For this card, I started by die-cutting the background using 2 of the layer dies from Diamond Plaid Layering Coverplate. For the bottom diamond layer, I cut it from watercolor cardstock. Once cut out, I watercolor it, let it dry and layered it with the thin diamond layer. Trim the edges and adhere to card base.

Next, I worked on the flowers. I used Peony Memories Cardmaking, Rose Labels and Berry Branches and just mix and match pieces from the set. For the peonies I stamped them using Soft Orchid, Orchid Crush, Grand Fucshia & Soft Garden. And the flowers from Rose Labels were stamped with Vanilla Frosted, Lemon Drop, Peach Blossom & Soft Garden. I also added some metallic watercolor to the deepest shadow. It’s hard to see on the still picture, but you can see them more on the short clip of the cards on my Instagram.

The great thing about these sets, once you stamped them, you’ll have enough parts to make several cards. That’s definitely the case with me. After adhering all the pieces to the card I finished by stamping one of the sentiment from Rose Labels using Crystal Pewter.

Now, since I have a bunch of leftover, I continued to make another card.

For this card, I die cut a circle frame from a metallic cardstock using Circle Nested dies. Then I started playing with the flowers leftover. By this time, I wanted an extra color. So, I stamped the Rose Label again using Couture Color Amethyst Collection. I had leftover leaves from Summer Rose from when I was working on the new release projects, so I used them here (stamped with Bright Emerald, Caribbean Turquoise & Hot Tourmaline). Finished by adding sentiment from Easy Expressions set and some enamel drops.

I am really happy with the way these 2 cards turned out and I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.

Well peeps, that’s all from me today. May you end the month of August with a good note and here’s to September. Cheers…..

Roses & Peonies

Hi all. Vera here.

I really been enjoying playing with the layered flower sets from The Ton and for my post I decided to play with Rose Patch & Peony Memories Cardmaking set. I was only planning to do 1 card, but since I have quite a few flowers to play with, ended up with 2 cards.

For the flowers I stamped Rose Patch in Bright Emerald, Caribbean Turquoise and Hot Tourmaline. For the leaves I used Soft Garden, Bright Fern and Deep Emerald. Then I stamped the Peonies with Rose Quartz, Hollywood Star and Red Sangria.

Once I have all the pieces stamped, I die cut them using the matching Rose Patch and Peony Memories Cardmaking dies. Next, I simply paying with the pieces and arrange them on the card.

The beauty of using these layered flowers sets, you are most likely ended up with enough pieces to make 2 cards. I mean, you could definitely use them all in 1 card, but hey, I love the idea of getting 2 cards done at the same time. 🙂

Before adhering the flowers, I added a strip of patterned paper to the bottom of the cards and then adhere all the pieces.

For the sentiment for my 1st card, I used the 2nd Edition Fill In Sentiment and finished the card by adding some enamel drops.

Once I finished the first card, I used the remaining flowers and leaves on the 2nd card.

For the sentiment on the 2nd card, I used one of the sentiment from Easy Expressions and die cut it using the coordinating dies. I have to admit I rarely die cut my sentiment, but this set really grows on me and I love having the extra sentiments ready to use for the next card.

Well peeps, that’s all I have for today. Hope you enjoy the cards & may your week starts off wonderfully! Cheers…

Grouped Layering Stamps

Hello everyone! Hope you’re all well and stay healthy! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of floral cards I made using some of our grouped layering stamp sets. I used Peony Memories Cardmaking, Rose of Sharon, Floral Bits 1 & 2 and Spring Layered Alphas stamp sets and coordinating dies.

If you haven’t heard about the grouped Layering stamp sets yet, you have to check them out! It is an ingenious layering system, which helps you layer multiple images at the same time. There are coverplate coordinating dies for these stamp sets, which cut the whole panel of stamped images in a single pass through your die cutting machine!

Let’s take a look at my cards!

The first one is made using Peony Memories Cardmaking set and Spring Layered Alphas set.

I stamped the pink peonies in Rose Quartz, Soft Garnet and Red Sangria hybrid ink, the yellow peonies in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Lemon Drop and Amber Citrine and the leaves in Crystal Garden Collection inks. After the stamping was done I cut them using the coordinating dies and set them all aside.

To stamp the Spring Layered Alphas I picked Noir for the letters, Soft Garnet for the large flowers and Soft Garden and Hot Tourmaline for the leaves. The small flowers were heat embossed in Rose Gold. I cut all the letters using the coverplate die.

To create the background I white heat embossed the starry confetti from the Confetti Borders stamp set on both sides of an A2 sized white panel and ink blended it in Lemon Drop, Soft Garnet, Soft Garden and Cali Blue.

I then started assembling my card. I mounted the background panel flat on a pink cardbase and arranged the floral clusters. I adhered the leaves flat on the background and raised the flowers using some foam tape. The letters were added with foam adhesives. The small sentiment is from Layered Floral Alpha stamp set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of yellow cardstock and added it to the card. To finish off I scattered some Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins.

The second card is showcasing Rose of Sharon and theFloral Bits 1 & 2 stamp sets.

TT050 1 WM

I stamped the Rose of Sharon and the flower of the Floral Bits 2 in Ballet Slippers, Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink, Grand Fuchsia and Spiced Chai. For the Floral Bits 1 I used Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine and Coralline Hybrid ink. For the leaves I used Soft Garden, Bright Fern and Everglade Moss.

TT050 4 WM

I cut the flowers using the coordinating die, arranged them on a piece of A2 sized paper, secured the arrangement with a piece of Press’n Seal wrap and adhered foam tapes on the back of the floral arrangement.

TT050 2 WM

I ink blended Ballet Slippers, Hollywood Star and Cosmopolitan Pink on the front of a white cardbase making the perimeter darker than the center and added white splatters. I stamped the sentiment from Rose of Sharon set in Noir and transferred the floral arrangement onto the cardbase. I cut off the excessive area of the floral arrangement and added a few clear Dew drops to finish off the card.

Using the grouped layering stamp sets and coordinating dies you can stamp and cut the floral elements and sentiments only with several steps. I really love to have the finished florals in my stash for my next projects!

Hope you enjoyed looking my cards today!

Wishing you a crafty day!

Peony Memories

Hello everyone!  Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! It’s TaeEun here sharing a couple of cards which are featuring the  Peony Memories Cardmaking stamp set. This stamp set is designed for an easy layering and die cutting of multiple peony flowers and leaves.

I combined the peonies with the Lean Back and the Hey There Sentiments stamp sets from our Anniversary Release.

To start off I stamped the Peony Memories Cardmaking in various color collections. For the yellow ones I used the Citrine Collection, for the blue ones the Sky Blue Collection and for the purple flowers I used Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms and Grape Crush. The leaves were stamped in  the Crystal Garden and the Pewter Collection.

I cut all the images using the coordinating die and set them aside. This die cuts the whole panel of the stamped images in one pass! Now I have a bunch of flowers and leaves to play with 🙂 !

TT0219 1 1 WM

For my first card I stamped the Man from the Lean Back  stamp set in Crystal Pewter on a Canson watercolor paper panel. I then colored him loosely in black using wet on wet watercoloring technique. I also did a watercolor wash in black on the bottom half of the panel. After the panel was completely dry I splattered black ink on it and let it dry.

TT0219 1 4 WM

I cut the panel using a Double Stitched Rectangle die slightly smaller than A2 size and foam mounted it on a black cardbase. I arranged the blue peonies and gray leaves as shown in the picture and added them to the card. Some of the flowers were raised using foam adhesives.

The sentiment from Lean Back  set was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock. I finished off the card with three Glass Slippers Round Confetti sequins.

And here is the next card!

TT0219 2 1 WM

To create the second card I ink blended the background in Lemon Drop, Peach Blossom, Azurite and Grape Crush (from top to bottom). I splattered white opaque ink on the whole panel and let it dry.

TT0219 2 5 WM

The sentiment from Hey There Sentiments set was white heat embossed on the background panel. I then added the small clouds to the ink blended sky also by white heat embossing. I then stamped the hot air balloons, in Peach Blossom, Azurite and Grape Crush. The baskets were stamped in Aspen Cocoa.

TT0219 2 3 WM

I mounted the background panel flat on a soft pink cardbase and arranged the peony field on the bottom of the panel. I mixed yellow, blue and purple peonies and used the green leaves. Some of the peonies were adhered using foam tapes.

To add some shine and sparkle to the card I colored the open area of the hot air balloons using a Stardust clear gel pen and covered the whole balloon with shimmer Pico Embellisher. I finished off the card by scattering some Glass Slippers sequins.
